Great update to the original model

This is a great redesign. The unit is smaller, with simplified controls. More options are available through the app, which is easy to use. This unit takes a bit longer to heat up the water bath, but it seems to consumer less power too. A good trade off in my eyes. I like it so much that I've already purchased another unit for a friend of mine for the Holidays.

Great Sous Vide if you are starting out.

Works great but buy Replacement Plan
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.As some reviews that I read complained about breakdowns and bad experiences getting repairs or replacement, I returned the Anova that I bought from Anova and bought it locally along with a 2-year Replacement Warranty - because once I committed time and money into Sous Vide cooking I knew that I would rely on having it available always so must be able to replace it the same day if it stopped working properly. Working great for now.

Let me tell you, I've never had a NY Strip Steak as juicy and tender as when I cooked it with this unit. Also tried it on two very large chicken breasts. Unbelievably moist and tender. Get yourself a kitchen torch ($12-$20) at any kitchen store to sear the outside of meats once done. I am buying two more for Holiday gifts!

Makes cooking super easy!
