I love that i can store the bags. However i love this so much that i bet ill run out of bags fast!

Very easy to use technology that opens a door to a world of food processing. Either for (sous-vide) food storage or for sous vide cooking. Over the last years, I’ve been using sous vide storage to extend the life of some fresh foods that normally go to waste because of the limited size of the family. During the same number of years, I was trying to convince myself that the purchase of a professional sous-vide machine was not justifying the savings in non-waisted food. My (mostly manual) solution until now was a very basic and limited vacuum device that was only ok for dry foods. For sealing the bags, a very basic sealer was doing the rest. Recently I introduced sous-vide cooking and start to discover the pleasure of food cooked to low temperature. Sadly, my food preparations under the previous sous-vide method were not adequate to directly use the foods fully submerged in the water. On a certain number of occasions, the water was entering the bag destroying the food taste. The solution was to keep the bags with a clothespin. The Anova Precision Vacuum Sealer is the perfect solution for both uses. My favorite elements: .- Anova is able to vacuum not only fully dried preparations but also foods with sauces and marinades in the bag. And this is a game-changer! Now, my foods are prepared with the special family receipt marinade, they stay in the fridge or freezer and directly for preparation. That could be sous-vide directly in the bag, but also without a bag in the barbeque. I love that the meats have been marinating for days in a close-air free-controlled bag and once out of the bag, the juices are there. .- Size, the full machine is made in a very compact size. In a small kitchen house, this is a very important element. Each new addition must justify its presence. .- You can use pre-cut bags but also use the fully customizable plastic roll that stays in the machine. You are cutting the roll and preparing the bags to tailor them to each occasion's need: big or small foods have their own bag. .- Super intuitive process that only requires pushing a button. The machine does all the rest and the light tells you when to reopen again. No need for too many instructions. .- I didn’t use it but I think is worth to mention that you can use the vacuum with special vacuum ready containers. .- In the web, they are talking about extending guarantee. Hope never go a use but good to have. Despite my feedback about how easy is to use, I wish that the easy start document and instructions has more and/or bigger drawings. With no text at all, a basic instructions could help to built trust with a first time user. I love it, recommend it and happy to have it.

This sealer does the best job of any we’ve ever owned, and the includes the original Good Saver.

Gets the job done. But I didn’t like how it was packaged. They stuck a ship label on the merchandise box rather than packaging it.

Doesn’t even turn on I was given a dysfunctional product after choosing the most expensive option. Very Dissapointed

Okay but a bit cumbersome to use. Seals is good but would prefer a different style

I bought this as a gift because of the great reviews and after 3 months of use, it is totally useless. No longer heats up or vacuums. Hopefully covered by manufacturer guarantee and I also bought Geek Squad coverage

We has been doing more and more Sous Vide cooking, probably two to three times a week now. It's really perfect for meat, not overcooking and leaving it moist and tender without brining. We had been using ziplock bags (the silicone bags are a colossal pain to clean), but never again. Having to weight the bags down to keep the food item submerged was a challenge. The Anova Precision Sealer Pro makes Sous Vide very easy, as it is a storage sealer that has additional features specifically for Sous Vide and convenience. There are separate settings for 'Moist' and 'Dry' preparations, food in a sauce or marinade doesn't suck the wet ingredients out of the bag. There is a 'Pulse' setting, so more delicate items can be sealed without crushing them. The sealer locks closed during the sealing operation, so you don't have to stand there holding the lid down. There is a built-in bag cutter, so you get a nice straight cut and don't have to go find a pair of scissors. There is also an external port for vacuum ready sealing containers, which we haven't tried. It seems to work fine with the bulk purchase sealer rolls, so you're not locked into to any special refills. As an example, we have cooked dry rub pork chops, chicken in marinade, and various vegetable all sealed with the Anova Precision Pro Sealer. It's nice being able to seal ahead of time and let the rub or marinade do it's work in the refrigerator without having to use a separate pan or plate. It's really nice being able to seal vegetables like asparagus without crushing them, using the 'pulse' option. Probably my only complaint is that the instructions are pretty skimpy, but the unit is pretty self-explanatory; all of the modes have separate buttons. All in all we are very happy with the Anova Precision Sealer Pro. If you finding yourself doing Sous Vide cooking, I think you will be as well.

Dont but it stop working in less then two months and its to much trouble trying to get it replaced or repair

Loved it at first, then after a few months of light use (maybe 3 times a month in 30 minute sessions) it stopped sealing as well, allowing air to remain when sealing. Now at 10 months of owning it, it does a horrible job of removing all the air and I've switched back to everyday freezer bags until I find a suitable replacement. Would not recommend

It doesn’t seal well. It leaves tiny areas open and I used a lot of the roll trying to reseal over and over.

I bought the unit in July 1924. The gaskets have already failed and I am having a hard time finding replacements. I had a food saver for over five years before the gaskets failed.

Unboxed, plugged in, sealed about 4 or 5 then didnt vacuum the 6th, but did seal it. Did another 1 or 2, vacuumed and sealed, then 9th didnt vacuum all the way, but did seal. The vacuum process is not reliable and only gets about 90% of the air out. We boxed it back up and returned.
