I had high hopes... But, unfortunately - all of those hopes were wasted on this bummer product. The issue is probably just the Anova bags, but they came with the vacuum sealer, so they're getting lumped in together (unlike my immaculately arranged chicken tenders - just one of many high-quality food items damaged by this vacuum "sealer"). Now that the unnecessarily lengthy intro is over, here's the problem: - Bought this vacuum sealer and used it to package up a bunch of *stellar* cuts of meat before freezing them. They were for sous vide and I was way too excited about the meals I had planned out in the coming months. - That was about six weeks ago. I had planned to make one of the ribeyes for dinner tonight, and located my vac sealed meats. - But, NO!!! They were NOT vacuum sealed!! They had been slowly letting air out for months, and ***everything*** ... EVERYTHING ... had freezer burn. :((((((( First world problems, I know... But still. That was $130 worth of meat that yes, of course I'm still going to eat, but it'll be far inferior to the sous vide recipes I had picked out. And here's the kicker: It took around 4-6 weeks for the vac sealed meats to begin showing signs of letting in air. But - you guessed it - "the item is no longer returnable" Way too lame.

It works but you have to manipulate the machine to get a good seal.

I returned this item, did not work any better than the very old food saver model I was trying to replace.

I love that i can store the bags. However i love this so much that i bet ill run out of bags fast!

This sealer does the best job of any we’ve ever owned, and the includes the original Good Saver.

Gets the job done. But I didn’t like how it was packaged. They stuck a ship label on the merchandise box rather than packaging it.

Okay but a bit cumbersome to use. Seals is good but would prefer a different style

Doesn’t even turn on I was given a dysfunctional product after choosing the most expensive option. Very Dissapointed

I bought this as a gift because of the great reviews and after 3 months of use, it is totally useless. No longer heats up or vacuums. Hopefully covered by manufacturer guarantee and I also bought Geek Squad coverage

Dont but it stop working in less then two months and its to much trouble trying to get it replaced or repair

Loved it at first, then after a few months of light use (maybe 3 times a month in 30 minute sessions) it stopped sealing as well, allowing air to remain when sealing. Now at 10 months of owning it, it does a horrible job of removing all the air and I've switched back to everyday freezer bags until I find a suitable replacement. Would not recommend

It doesn’t seal well. It leaves tiny areas open and I used a lot of the roll trying to reseal over and over.

I bought the unit in July 1924. The gaskets have already failed and I am having a hard time finding replacements. I had a food saver for over five years before the gaskets failed.

Unboxed, plugged in, sealed about 4 or 5 then didnt vacuum the 6th, but did seal it. Did another 1 or 2, vacuumed and sealed, then 9th didnt vacuum all the way, but did seal. The vacuum process is not reliable and only gets about 90% of the air out. We boxed it back up and returned.

Make sure you double seal because one seal wont do the trick. I'm just going to keep to my zip lock bags
