Ant-Man came out at a time when Marvel was already producing great movies, but Ant-Man seemed like a long shot for a character. But the casting of Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Pena, Michael Douglas, and Abby Ryder Fortson made this movie. Each of the characters plays well off of each other and the overall movie stands great on it's own. In 4K (or rather upconverted 2K) the movie looks great with HDR. An included code lets you stream the movie in upto Dolby Vision with the right hardware. I highly recommend this movie to anyone looking for a good action movie, comedy, or just another great Marvel movie.

I had a chance to see this when it opened back in July, 2015 back in Vegas and I really enjoyed it. I thought it was very cool, and couldn;'t wait to own the 3D version for myself. The 3D Bly-ray doesn't disappoint in the least. Colors are rich and sharp in the 2D version, but this film really shines in 3D. Though not shot in native 3D, the conversion by Stereo D is amazing. Owners of a good 3D Setup are going to love this disc. The 7.1 Core Dolby Atmos Soundtrack is powerful and immersive, and this disc could easily be used as a good demo disc for anyone that wants to show off their setup to friends and family. The perfiomances are mostly very good, and Paul Rudd is a surprisingly perfect "Ant-Man". Folks that saw the movie in a theatre and loved it, should pick up this disc without hesitation.

When I first heard that Marvel was doing an Ant-Man film, I was shocked. Granted, Ant-Man is part of The Avengers, I just didn't see that character working out in a solo film at this stage in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). I'm partial to comic book films but I felt that an Ant-Man movie was the final straw for comic book films. Luckily, my curiosity got the best of me and being that I have invested so much time and money in the previous MCU films, I decided to give this one a try and was happy with the results. Paul Rudd didn't strike me as a typical comic book superhero actor but he made it work. He brought the comedic timing and vulnerability that was needed for this role. Michael Douglas stole the show though. He was perfectly cast as Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man and mentor to Rudd's Scott Lang. Michael Pena and T.I. brought decent comic relief as Lang's sidekicks. Evangeline Lilly was great too and will be better when she dons the Wasp costume in the next go round. Corey Stoll wasn't perfect but was convincing enough as Darren Cross/Yellowjacket. Anthony Mackie's Falcon cameo was a nice tie-in with the Avengers movie. Overall, it's another solid addition to the ever growing MCU, right up there with the likes of Guardians of the Galaxy but much more grounded and smaller in scale (no pun intended).

A great collector steelbook. I bought it cheaper than the regular 4k blue ray. It's a great movie.

Definitely a smaller movie. But the cast is amazing and the comedy is pretty good. Looks great in 4K.

Ant-man isn't one of the larger Marvel super-heroes (pun intended) but like the character this movie packs a punch and adds to the legacy of the Marvel movie releases. It's got a great mixture of action, humor and story-telling similar in style to the first Iron Man movie or Guardians of the Galaxy. Paul Rudd is perfectly cast as Scott Lang. He is a reluctant hero; but grows (or shrinks in this case) into the role in believable fashion. The rest of the cast including Michael Douglas help make this offering a fast-paced, fun adventure. Ant-man is scheduled to appear in the next Captain America movie which may lead to his becoming a full-time member of The Avengers. A role I'm sure he could grow into with ease. I look forward to the next Ant-Man adventure.

Marvel shrinks down in size for tis one as they introduce one of their original silver age (its a comics collector term) heroes, n his own standalone movie. He was the first new character in ages, part of a little sci-fi story in the 50's, that was later resurrected, to join up with the new slate of characters, and their first teaming up in the original Avengers comic. Film amalgamates quite a few years of his history from over the years, creating a movie universe version who will be able to enter the world of the Avengers and the other Marvel Universe, and ven does a little bit in this first film. It's a fun film, well played, and will also be another stepping stone into the larger, ever-growing Marvel Universe on film

When I first read about Marvel's decision to bring Ant-Man to life, I was a bit skeptical. Then with news breaking of behind-the-scenes battles between Marvel and their initial choice of director and him being replaced, I got even more worried. But...I held out hope because of Marvel's reputation and their choice of lead: Paul Michael Rudd. He's one of my favorite stars in Hollywood and this sealed the deal: the film would be good no matter what, right? Right! I'm happy to say this film is extremely entertaining, funny, exciting, and the solid direction is helped immensely by the three stellar leads: Rudd, Evangelline Lily, and an incredible turn by Michael Douglas. Highly recommended viewing! Keep it up, Marvel!

If there is a Marvel movie that fan least likely saw, it's this one, yet this is the best Marvel movie to me. You don't need to be an extraordinary person to be a superhero and you don't need to be a superhero to the world. All you need is just a regular dude that has a lovely daughter that view him as her superhero. Plus, Pym's techs are pretty dope. This new release featuring new artwork is a must-have for Ant-Man fans and make sure to get your copy of Ant-Man and the Wasp when it's released as well.
