Not only is this movie an action packed fangasm, but it's also a laugh out loud comedy. The comics movies being made through Marvel Studios are so much better than the butchered releases from Fox and Sony. Those guys need to turn the film licenses back over to Marvel before they make another travesty like the Fantastic Four....Roger Corman's was so much better than any of the big budget FF movies to date...... My only disappointment with Antman was when he "goes subatomic" and enters the (unnamed in movie) Microverse, there was no cameo of the Endeavor or an Acroyear Battlecruiser!

Good movie for all. The whole family enjoyed watching this movie.

Amusing movie. For a friday afternoon with your friends.

This was SO much better than I ever expected it to be. Love this movie!! It's one of the funnier Marvel movies, and I think Paul Rudd does a fantastic job as Ant-Man. I really didn't expect to like this as much as I did. Like, at all. But I did!! I think i liked it more than some of the others cause it wasn't as "Doom and Gloom". Avengers: Infinity War? Talk about Doom and Gloom. Wow, that movie was all the way doom and gloom.

Great flick for the whole family. Paul Rudd is great as Ant Man

Great MCU film with great picture quality and sound.

I generally like superhero movies, and like the recent crop of Marvel movies, though, to be honest, could not care less about Ant Man. However, that said, I really enjoyed this movie. My kids enjoyed this movie. My gf enjoyed this movie. It was fun and funny, without talking down to the audience, had decent action, and just overall a good time. Paul Rudd was surprisingly solid as an action hero, which I never would have expected. I would say that, out of all of the Marvel movies, this is the most family friendly, yet still is a lot of fun for the parents watching too.

Pleasantly surprised awesome movie wonderfully displayed

So when this came out, our friends told us we had to go see it. But it seemed a little silly--the title alone--and they have small kids. Anything animated or comic books could meet with their approval. So with our preconcieved "Meh" firmly in place, we skipped the movie. Sometime in dreary winter, we rented it. And...we were idiots! Great movie, if not the best of all the comic genre. My wife and I especially laughed at the special guest appearance of Thomas the Tank Engine. Hilarious! Buy it if you don't already have it...or live under a rock...like us.

Ant Man enters the MCU in grand fashion. The comedy is on point and clever, I was but apprehensive about Paul Rudd tackling an action role, but he proved himself worthy to go toe to toe with any Avenger. The story is the standard Marvel fair, but played out in a way that keeps you engaged throughout. The stlel book edition is lacking in special features and it leaves me wishing there was more added because it's a special edition...Overall I would say give this one a look and you'll be happy you did. I give the movie 5 stars, but the steelbook gets 3 stars.

Thought it could of been better but still good flick

To be honest, at first Paul Rudd seemed kind of a generic choice to play a superhero. Without the attitude of a Robert Downy or the easy arrogance of Chris Hemsworth, I thought Rudd would be good not great. However, the writers managed to get the best out of him and not only make the movie great but made Rudd a real "everyman's" kind of superhero. Not bad Disney, not bad... I found myself at the end of the movie really wanting to see the next Ant Man. The Blue Ray is standard stuff; interesting special features but standard for all movies these days.

This movie is a light-hearted origin story that very much mirrors most Marvel story arcs that came before it. The big difference is the tone, which is never serious. Even the scope and sequence of the story is much smaller with the consequences more corporate than world-altering. This shift is a breath of fresh air when every other Marvel movie tried to convince you that the world will end without the plucky heroes intervention. Paul Rudd was a perfect choice to play the titular hero as his natural "goofy" demeanor fits the tone wonderfully.

Fun movie to watch if you are into the Marvel series

Not my favorite MCU movie but worth a watch at least.
