If I have a problem, I contact the APC tech support and always had excellent results. Love the APC brand as I have had others and found that APC is the best.

Began getting a flashing red and green light from the power button with a continous tone, indicating the battery is at the end of its useful life. I didn't even get five months out of it. Strongly recommend trying a different option.

The batteries have a life span of 3-5 years this is the average life span but it is possible depending on environment , usage or way that batteries are stored while unused or on shelf the life of batteries are may vary, that is why we offer a 2 or 3 year warranty for batteries that is sold from a authorized reseller . I have another battery backup unit on my desktop. This 450VA unit seems to do the job very well but I've yet to have any power outages. The router and modem pull about 20 to 30 watts together so I believe this battery backup will do fine for a couple hours. I also have confidence that this unit will perform for the next several years without issue. I will update this review if it does not meet expectations.

If you have power cords that have a side orientation, it can be a challenge to get multiple devices pluggged into this.
