This purchase was for one of the executives in my office. The size was perfect and it was on sale! APC - Back-UPS 450VA Battery Back-Up System

This is a relatively small unit so will fit most anyplace. Worked immediately. The only setup was moving and plugging in a battery jumper That jumper sticks out further than the bottom of the unit so unit will not sit flat on floor. Set unit on a carpet in a corner under your desk and you do not notice this. It would be nice if the battery were replaceable but the cost of the UPS is about the same as that of a new battery for my old unit, so that's a wash. When it quits just buy a new one at a probably lower price as prices keep coming down for UPSs.

the value on the apc are great. picking up at best buy is also better

Great for personal computers. This have saved me multiple times whenever we have power outages. I am able to save what I am working on in the event power does not return. Recommend for people who work on the computer and constantly saving data entries.

Great for power surges and when the electricity goes out at your home.

Works great for power outage. When the power went out and waiting for the generator to kick in is a minute and a half gap. Have one on satellite dish for tv and the other on internet router. Saves from having to reboot both due to power loss. Never missed a second of tv.

Bought this in an effort to protect my pc, but to be fair, I can't tell if it really works, had an instance where it started beeping and flashing and I'm assuming it means everything started running off it's battery and if that's the case it works really well

I bought 3 of these in the past and 2 out of the 3 has died exactly on the 4yr mark. Came time to replace them and I purchased replacements. Great unit to power but dvr system when power goes out. I have 8 cctv cameras and they run maybe about 30min on back up battery. The downside is these are made to be toss away once the battery go bad, wish this changed to reduce e-waste.

I use this unit to keep my internet up during power outages. So far it has worked well during the few outages that had occurred.

I use the APC for my modem and router, when blackout I don't like my electronic shut off instantly, im afraid its going to burn the montherboard, too much current at once. It was very easy to set up, nothing really needed, just plug in the battery and plug into the wall outlet, simple as that. Overall I love the new design, less bulky and taller than before.

I’ve had two of these for over three years and they’ve been great. We live in an older neighborhood with lots of trees and get brown outs or flickers of the lights often. This unit has protected our stuff perfectly. I replaced one with another of the same unit. Repeat customer!

Needed an UPS for router that didn't take up much real estate. This UPS had a small enough footprint. Does what it is designed to do.
