The battery died after 3 years of use and is not replaceable. I suspect a battery replacement would cost the about same a whole new UPS. Great value and works as advertised .

Nice to have a backup for NAS drives. Worth the money to keep drives safe. Only downside I see is a lack of compatibility with NAS enclosures (no way to shut down drives safely automatically)

I have purchased multiple battery backups by APS for my office. They have always proven to be reliable and with a long life.

I've got 3 UPS boxes with the goal of protecting my network, NAS, and computer from power flickers. This box protects the equipment my ISP provides and has worked flawlessly when we have quick power flickers. When the derecho knocked out power for over 8 hours (we were some of the lucky ones) this kept our network up for almost a half hour (I think the phone company box on the outside of the house, which I protect with this, draws a lot of power). My only complaint is the beeping alarm when it is running off battery. I've followed the instructions to the best of my ability, and can not get it to stop. If we have an outage longer than a flicker, I quickly shut down the equipment protected by the UPS and use the outlets to recharge cell phones.

This is an excellent inexpensive battery backup to prevent damage or data loss to your computer in the event of power surges or lags.It has a total of six outlets with surge protection, four of which are backed up by a battery. For more powerful systems, you may want to move up to a higher cost APC system.

This is an item I wouldn't want to be without, so when the last one "croaked". I went on line shopping and found this at Best Buy at a decent price. Just like the computer said, it was in stock! No running around. It works fine and living in the lightening capital of the USA, I rely on it to keep my computers and other electronics safe.

major power and money saving, worth every dollar and needs.

The APC BackUPS 450VA is an excellent product. This purchase was to replace the previous 450VA that I had. After 3 years the battery would no longer charge and, unfortunately, this model doesn't have a replaceable battery. It gives me peace of mind that my broadband modem and home network router will remain online when a power glitch occurs at my house.

Small, silent and a hard worker! Perfect for my modem, router and home theater PC. When per is gone, it won't wake you up!

We use these at every computer at work, they are our go-to. They are ultra reliable and the batteries usually last several years. They've only gotten better over time. Make sure the one that you're getting has enough ports for your setup.

Bought this battery backup to use for my satellite dvr unit when there are power surges. Works perfectly. If the power flickers for a few seconds, I do not have to wait for the system to reboot which can take upwards of 15 minutes. I have a larger one for my internet router which keeps me connected for hours.

I have had experience with APC UPS's for many years and this one works quite well for my home networking. My only complaint would be the continual bright green light on the power button, which would not be an issue in an office situation but was not great in our bedroom, necessitating putting a small box over this end of the UPS to keep the room dark at night.
