Good until it's not
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've bought multiple of these units in the past, 2 out of 3 batteries have gone bad within just a couple years. The worst part is, APC doesn't allow you to MUTE the alarm if it's because the battery has been degraded. You have to power down the entire unit and reset it. Absolutely predatory feature designed to make your life such a hassle that you are forced to buy a new unit. I'm gonna try Cyberpower instead, I've heard better things about that brand

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to review our UPS. The replace battery alarm isn't able to muted because then you could potentially miss that the battery needs replaced in the UPS. If the battery is depleted in the UPS then it wouldn't be available in the event of a power outage.

Works Well But Overpriced
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works well ... after you give it the initial 24 hour charging period. Directions to change the "alarms" on it are very difficult to get through. It is definitely overpriced but I was in a pinch.

Attractive, but no ethernet to usb
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn't notice when i was buying that it doesn't have the ethernet to usb to connect to the computer. Bought it for a nas that really wants to know it's safe. it was cheap so I get it.

Horrible - Smells of Burnt Plastic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit smelled like burned plastic so bad it made my house reek of burnt plastic. It took 3 giant bowls of Banking Soda to remove the smell

Bad unit out of the box
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Long time APC user here. Just at 3 months of owning the unit and a random power blip proved the unit was actually bad from the start. Power had hiccupped a couple of times prior and the unit had tripped and went to red pilot light/beeping each time, Only recovery was to unplug from the wall and let it sit for a few minutes before reconnecting. My bad for not digging deeper into it. This last time the power stayed off for a few minutes and the UPS started it's odd behavior only to not recover even after disconnecting it from the wall for a few minutes following power restoration. Long story longer, I tested the batter with my VOM and found the voltage fluctuated from 0V to 7.97V to 7.24V to 0V all within seconds. Recorded this for the record. Got in touch w APC support staff and they were great, replacement unit arrives tomorrow and the return shipping label is already in my inbox. Still an APC-faithful user, a single incident is not going to run me off, but this should he been caught at the QC stage. RATINGS ARE BASED UPON THIS UNIT ONLY,

It acts like it's lost power when it hasn't.
|Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only 2 things plugged into it, my PC and one of my monitors, and every 2-3 weeks the alarm starts going off indicating it lost power, which it didn't, or that it's experiencing a battery failure. And this started withing the first few weeks of owning it. Manufacturer support said there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with it but I could send it in to get serviced. It might just be a bad unit right out of the box, and I know that's usually rare, but I'm just going to buy a better model to be safe. Other copies of the same device probably don't have this issue, but mine does, and it's very aggravating when it goes off and I have to shut my PC down in the middle of work just to reset it to get the alarm to shut up.

The worst
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does not last long at all. I am not sure what can you put after you loose power. This is definitely not it. I changed to there bigger battery and that definitely worked. Laptop with this particular one i do not recommend
No, I would not recommend this to a friendBrand response from APCProductSupport
Posted .Thank you for taking the time to review our UPS. The runtime would depend on on how much power the laptop draws. There is a chance that the laptop is pulling more power than expected. The BVN650M1 would provide around 2 minutes of runtime at full load, 360 watts. At half load, 180 watts, it would provide around 10 minutes of runtime.

Almost useless
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Back ups does not have an automatic shutdown cable capability for a computer. If you are not home to shut down the system the battery could run out of power and the ensuing power loss could damage your computer or damage data. it does however have a USB charging port just where you don't needed under your desk! what a wonderful useless feature.

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to review our UPS. I apologize that the BVN650M1 doesn't have the option to provide a graceful shutdown of the connected system. If you are looking for a model in a similar size that has that option you could check out the BN650M1 instead.

Battery is not user replaceable!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Throw away electronics after several years. Not a user swappable battery. It's usable life is short by design!

Not a good product
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would not recommend this product. No matter what I use it for, or how many plugs I plug into it, it always lets out an insanely loud constant beep and shuts off. It lasted a month before this happened. I can plug my phone into it as a charge and it still does it. Do not recommend at all. Went with a different brand and had much better luck.

Disappointing...
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really disappointed in this APC product. I bought it to protect my new Sony 8K TV and it kept giving beeps like the power was off but it was not...I got a replacement and it did the same thing.

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to review our UPS. I am sorry to hear that you are having problem with our UPS. I would double check that the TV isn't pulling more power than the UPS supports. The BVN650M1 would support 360 watts of power connected to the UPS. Anything over that would overload the UPS and cause it to cut power to the connected equipment.

Posted .Thank you for taking the time review our UPS. I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with our units. There are a few factors that can determine the lifetime of the UPS. If the unit is experiencing frequent discharges and is on battery quite a bit this can shorten the battery lifetime. Seamless Battery Power Security
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had contemplated getting a UPS for quite some time but never did. So, I was very happy to have an opportunity try this product out. If you are looking for a reasonably priced APS/surge protestor for home or small office this is a nice option and would recommend. Easy setup – just unbox, insert battery connector on the bottom of the unit, plug in and turn on Angled and flat 5-foot power cord. Is somewhat compact at 5.5 inches high x 10.8 inches width x 4.1 inches deep and is a tad over 7 lbs. 5 UPS/Surge and 2 surge power outlets and 1 5V 2.1A USB connector. 2 of the UPS outlets are staggered/separated to allow pugging in larger power blocks. Rated at 650AV and 360W and energy star certified The power button flashes different colors/frequencies and there are audible alarms indicating unit status. Has 3 Voltage sensitivity adjustments. Can be mounted on the wall 3-year warranty on unit and battery (which will need to be replaced every few years and looks to cost around $45). $75,000 lifetime connected equipment protection policy and free technical support. To test I unplugged unit simulating a power outage and it seamlessly went to battery power every time. Test 1 – Received 20 minutes of power before battery was exhausted having my desktop (no added GPU) with multiple hard drives, modem, router and 35-inch monitor plugged in. While this certainly is enough time to save any work, it won’t let you while away the time watching content or surfing the internet until the power comes back on. Test 2 – Received 2 hrs. and 33 minutes of power before battery was exhausted having only modem and router connected. Negatives. No display of battery charge left or charging percentage. Very long (states up to 10 hours) to recharge the battery. Overall a nice compact UPS that gives you a sense of security if your power should go out. Just be sure whatever is plugged into it is really needed to extend battery power as long as possible.
