Great Little, Simple UPS
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this to keep a computer and copier powered up during short blackouts and brownouts that have become more and more frequent. The size and the price made it optimal and it works as expected. There's no flickering or dimming of the machines and we don't have to wait minutes for reboots/restarts. I didn't buy it expecting long term power as that's not what a 650VA UPS is designed to do. But if you need a simple, low power UPS to eliminate power flickers and brownouts with very little set up or configuration, then this one will work excellently.

Always protecting sensitive electronics.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.- We use these little APC's for all our electronics. - We live in the lightning capital of the world. - We have many close lightning strikes, but never a lost an electronic device due to lightning. - These are inexpensive to buy and the batteries last about 5 years. - It's a bit of a challenge, but the battery can be replaced if you are handy.

Works as advertised. Good basic battery backup
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works good. Its one of the inexpensive basic models but it does the job. Used it for my modem, router, alarm and security camera just in case the power goes out. It worked the last outage (about 15 min). Only complaint is that the outlet are too close together so if you have big boxy plugs you will not be able to maximize all the outlets. I did get this on sale and recommended since it was much cheaper than the others. But if you have a nice computer, I would recommend a better model with more battery run time. Especially if you need to run the computer when theres a power outage.

Power off, power on
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When the power "browns out" for a moment from lightning or some other anomaly this little unit keeps the juice flowing! Great for keeping your PC going under "regular use" aka web browsing, word processing, etc. But Not White Gaming. This is not intended for high power draw scenarios or use cases and if you try to use it on a PC, stereo, TV, console, etc. that is looking to pull a lot of power, it will not work. Used as intended however on a laptop, small TV/monitor, low power draw PC, etc., this works like a charm

A necessity to protect electronics and data
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A UPS is necessary to protect electronics from power surges and losing data during a power outage or brownout while you are working. It gives you time to save data and back out of the programs you are using. Hook it to your TV and you can continue to watch until the battery runs out of juice. I've used APC products for over 25 years at home and my office without problems. They saved me several times at my office when electrical storms or a squirrel got fried in local substation and caused power outages.

Sticking with the brand I know
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using APC for my backup power needs for many years, so when my 10-year-old unit finally died (didn't fail in use, just kept warning me that its battery wouldn't charge) I naturally picked an APC unit to replace it. Picked this unit because it only needed to power a desktop PC and a desk phone. If you have greater needs, APC has larger units as well.

Great product at a low price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good. I bought this to prevent delays in connecting my work from home equipment after small power blips in storms etc. Works great and has kept my connection steady. I cant say how long the battery run time is with my modem and router, but so far it has met all of my needs with ease.

Small UPS, ideal as backup power modem/router
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We wanted separate UPS back-up for the fiber optic signal converter, internet gateway and router from the UPS for our computer, monitor and VOIP phone. Previous short power interuptions, would cause the signal converter to go down even though the rest were still fine - still internet goes down when any single component fails. Last week we had 4 or 5 short power interuptions in a 10 minute span. With the new setup our internet stayed rock solid!

UNLIMITED POWAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well not unlimited per say but 650VA is still pretty good. Popped a few of these throughout the house and they've never let me down. Multiple outlets for plugging in my electronics and they've always kept me up and running for enough time to power down my computer or enjoy the rest of my show if the power goes out. Picked it up on a sale too so you really can't go wrong if you're in the market and catch it at a good price.

Stolid Back Up UPS
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have several of these strategically placed around the house. And, every time we have even the briefest of power failures, they kick in and save the various devices plugged into them. The desktop computers are particularly vulnerable - and these back up UPS' have saved the day many times. Perfect size, perfect back up for home use.

quick and dirty battery backup for your workhorses
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The local utility company (GRU) is nearly 2 billion (yes, with a "B") dollars in debt. The money was wasted on "alternative" energy projects that didn't generate a lick of power, now rolling blackouts, brownouts, and phase disruptions are commonplace, almost unheard of when I was younger, city can't emma' pay the interest on the money owed. Maybe for the average household, this may not be a problem, but I rely heavily on computers, consoles, and monitors for my job and personal security and when the power fluctuates everything goes kerflooey. Started installing UPCs everywhere and this was a little one I put on a monitor/ARC system for the master bedroom. Although not the strongest one out there, it has sure helped, eliminating the need to reboot/restart everything weekly to keep the system operating normally. These battery backups made by APC, beep (quite obnoxiously) when they kick on, giving you the opportunity to affect a soft shutdown so all is not lost and the system can be brought back up relatively painless. Oh, if you push the power button twice, real quick, it will stop alerting you to the power loss (i.e., stop beeping), didn't know that until I read the instructions!

This small UPS is perfect for our needs
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This APC UPS is working out perfect for us. Plenty of battery time and small enough to fit behind our desk. We use this one to keep our router and IP phone active during power outages. I'll be buying another in the near future.
