One day while hosting my podcast, I lost all power. My show ended abruptly. This corrected that from ever happening again. I use it for backup to my ISP and the lights I need.

It worked fabulously for many years and this one should as well. APC is a reputable company and produce good products. This was a good buy and a plus that it was on sale.

May reason is for the Plex server, so files don't get corrupted due to playing when power goes out, instead if power does out it will have time to stop the media before an immanent shutdown happen.

You should be able to connect a few devices. But watch out for connecting anything that requires a lot of power like a printer, it will trip the device.
