We bought these to replace some older units within the park. Took some time to get the unit to work after plugging in a large printer and server into it.

Bought this for the office in preparation for a storm. We lost power and this kept my machine in the office online so I could remote in and work from home without having to boot my PC back up in the office.

I'm not an expert when it comes to battery backups, but I've been very pleased with this product thus far. I was looking for a UPS that includes at least one USB port (check!), one that looks good enough to fit nicely into a second bedroom in my home (check!), and one with a battery capacity that could simply keep our household online for a while during power outages (check!). I'm not burdening this UPS with a heavy load...just an Arris cable modem, an Eero router and an Insteon hub. Additionally, I've plugged a paper shredder and laser printer into surge-only outlets. Everything works as expected and I anticipate the battery will provide significant up time in the absence of power. Regarding the design of this unit: I'm pleased. I wouldn't call it a stunner, but I do consider it to be more "household friendly" than some of the enterprise-looking UPS products on the market today.

This is a nice basic APC UPS backup battery unit that comes with a handy USB charging port. Its relatively low wattage/VA rating is good enough for light duty or devices with lower wattage consumption. It works well with my TiVo DVR and other smaller AV components.

I use this to keep a battery backup on my NAS and Modem.. the last time my power went out it kept everything up for several minutes while I shut down my NAS and the network to prevent any harm to my devices.

In a fully charge capacity, it was able to run my desktop PC and 4 external hard dives long enough (I let it run for 15 mins) to shut down everything. Not sure though how long will it last before it runs out with everything still running. Don't want to risk it! :)

Mini blackouts in my neighborhood is a little frequently and I need to wait couple minutes to get the modem working again and some times I need to restart the laptop, too. No more! This unit keeps my modem and router always on.

Purchased this UPS to keep up our church's networking equipment in the event of a utility power loss. This UPS works great and does just what it was designed to do. I've used many APC products in the past and they have always been reliable. This one is no different.

I have just enough outlets so I probably should have gotten the next model up, however this was the biggest one in stock at the time. Works well tho'.

I bought this UPS to protect my cable and tv equipment from surges and short power outages. It's the perfect size for this use and didn't cost any more than buying the battery from the cable company that is only for the router and provides no surge protection.

APC works as expected in providing power management for my connected devices.

We had a police chase end in a crash the knocked out the power pole in front of my residence, this protected my computer from the serge of power and shut my computer down after the power went out. Thanks APC

Bought this to add battery backup to my home theater components so when the power goes out my critical components like home automation brain, cable box, etc don't abruptly shut down. It works perfectly for that purpose. No complaints.

I needed a battery backup for my new electronic slow cooker. This works perfect and I can go to work knowing that my slow cooker will not lose its settings if there is a power outage or surge. This is exactly what I needed to give me piece of mind!!!! :)

This is the perfect battery back up for my house. It has worked really well. I even recommended one for a family member who also loves this product. I would definitely buy another one if I need to in the future. Great product for my use and a great price.

I only buy APC since the same company that builds the little ones also builds the large ones used by corporate. I also like that I can get replacement batteries. This little unit would be best for a router vs tower.

I live in an area where very brief, to longer periods of, power outages occur. It gets very annoying to have to reboot PC's, etc because of a power hit. This unit prevents that. It was easy to set up. I recommend this to everybody.

have been buying apc baterry backups for years. new design is great and got a good price here at best buy. nice feature over older backups, alarm is silent when electricity goes off and doesn't start beeping until the battery is almost out of energy.

So no more needs to be said. This one was for my own use, but I've installed hundreds at customers & it's the only brand I'll buy. It might cost a few bucks more than Brand X, but worth every penny.
