Tried purchasing "cheaper" UPS that always alarmed even when no apparent power loss (or even brown out) occurred. So back to APC (yes I know they are owned by Schneider Electric) I went. Desk side UPS systems aren't rocket science, but APC knows what they are doing - decades of Data Center class UPS knowledge; translates into a quality home product.

I purchased this to ensure I would have WiFi access during a power outage. I have since had a couple short outages. I was able to safely shutdown my PC and still have power to my WiFi so I could still use my iPad. Works great!

Well made solid unit. Use it to backup our business server and phone equipment. Have never had a problm with APC. Has more features than other units too.

Our GEEK specialist set up all connections very quickly. We have a serious power outage that shuts down our computers much too often. We trust this will resolve out problem.

Excellent buy for the price. Brand new in box on clearance. Works great & has usb. Also good feature is you can silence the alarm when needed. Great compact design for this model.

My son installed this after the last big storm. Our camara system when down with the power outage. Of course we haven't had an outage since then. Just have it incase we need it again.

I'm using this battery backup in my home-studio. External hard drives, monitor, speakers, and laptop are all plugged into it. Battery has been checked, so I'm ready and waiting for the next power failure during an editing session.

Does what it supposed to do. Plenty of backup power for my needs (cable modem, wireless router, Roku, and a couple of other small devices). Like the tall design and easy to reach plugs.

I use this for my line voltage buffering on home theater receiver. Got backup generator that kicks in within 30sec. So all this has to do is keep line voltage steady on line spikes and slight drops. Works great.

This item has met my expectations. The price was fair.

I have had this a little less than a month now. It seems like it is doing okay. I can't recall if the power has gone out yet though. I assume it will work as expected. It does make a slight sound. It isn't that bad. I have this in a separate room. If you were in the room with it constantly it could be annoying for some.

Great product that prevents power failure and loss of info at the time of use. Gives you plenty of time to hurry and save everything even while on the internet.

your cable company no longer puts a battery in there phone or internet modem so you have to have a ups for it to work when the power goes out apc is the one no switch over time great ups

It's a small and light battery backup system, it is modern

When it was time for a new surge protector and battery backup, I didn't consider anything besides the APC brand. I've used them for years and trusted the product. Very simple to incorporate into my new computer setup.
