I've been using this brand for 20 years or so and never had an issue until now with this specific model. Purchased it new, connected the battery, plugged it in to let it power up and start the charging cycle. The next day I heard constant beeping noises that you usually hear when the battery is going bad. sure enough the battery was bad so we took it back to Best Buy for an exchange. Oddly the same thing happened with the exchange units so it could be a defective product. In total, we purchased 2 units and exchanged those 2 units twice so in all we tried 6 units at three different Best Buy stores. All units had the same problem. I ended up using a different retailer and a different brand UPS battery backup with no issues. I gave it one start because I had to otherwise I would not give it any stars. I could not recommend this product based on my experience.
