Hook this up to the computers in my office and it works great. Any fluctuation in the power and it adjusts. We had a power outage and it stayed on long enough for me to finish up what I was doing and shut the computers down. I highly recommend this to anybody that needs a battery backup.

Reviews for these are very difficult to provide especially when the products time to shine is when you're needing to lose power. I do have an older APC model battery backup I got 2 or so years ago and is still running strong today. It's essentially why I opted for a second one from the brand. Since I started working from home due to my job having the flexibility of being in office or in the comfort of my own home, I wanted something that would be there should my power go out and at least keep me going for a while. Since I work of a laptop, this product makes the most sense and offers plenty of connections to include my Laptop, Docking station and Monitor. I've not been able to take advantage of it yet as we've not had any power related issues since before I did receive the product. That said, I don't foresee any issues as the one I've been using specifically goes to my Network devices so that I'm not losing internet access. The one thing I do like over my current one though is this model has a much slimmer design, though it is slightly longer. This model also features the ability to pass my Ethernet through it in case anything comes in through the coax and doesn't take out anything past the modem itself. I may switch the Battery Backups duties for that reason alone. When it comes down to it, there's not many companies out there that I trust for protecting my electronics. Nearly everything I have is APC branded. Thankfully I've never had to make a claim for anything being taken out during a surge, but I'm sure that if/when that time comes, APC will be around to help.

The APC Back-UPS Pro BN1050M comes well-packed and shipped right to my door in a Schneider Electric box. I unpacked it, opened the battery door, connected the red wire to the battery, replaced the battery door, plugged everything in, pressed power, and it's charging! The setup is pretty straightforward, and you know you have quality because the Quality Assurance Test results are taped to your UPS unit. Thanks, "T," for testing my unit! Everything works great and does what you said. Instructions are not required as everything is shown on the sticker for simplicity. The UPS is fairly small, so it doesn't seem obnoxiously big like others I have seen and have in my home. With 8 outlets, you have plenty of plugs for protection. It easily fits under my desk and is able to handle my router, modem, PC, printer, TV, and PS5 with no problems. The BN1050M is rated at 1050VA/600W with auto voltage regulation and the ability to tap a lead acid battery when necessary for larger draws or brownouts. Your battery life will be determined by how much you have plugged in and the draw during the blackout. The box says 3.5 hours, but if you are running more than just a PC, you will get less battery life. The recharge time is 12hrs and must be between 32°F to 104°F (0-40°C) during operation. It weighs close to 16 lbs, so plan to pick up the box with conviction if you're used to lightweight Amazon packages. This does what it should, and APC is always my trusted UPS choice for my devices.

Compact enough to fit on a shelf. Being used to keep the router and modem up during short term power outages. If needed, cell phones can be charged during longer power outages. We can even keep a table lamp on for a limited time.

It does exactly what it is intended for. I bought it to help with some brown-outs in my apartment and I haven't had any issues since. It has helped keep my PC & Monitors on when the power flickers without any issue.

In my view this unit was the best I could do to mitigate the frequent power interruptions I have been dealing with. It's made in USA and actually has replacement batteries available. It came fully engineered with a 40 +/- check list taped to the unit. Besides the computer it backs up a high performance clock and a range extender for my cell. The latter is necessary to gauge the duration of the outage.

Solid battery backup with quick response time, nice features and helpful display, and reasonable runtime. Purchased to keep network and carbon monoxide alarms up in case of power outage. Not going to run your house for days, but is a good solid backup for potential many-hours-long outages, depending on load.

Battery backup for desktop is easy to set up and use

This is very nice and hooked it quickly. So glad it was in stock and scooped it right up. My old unit was no longer working correctly. Ordered it online and it was ready moments later. Great job.

Bought a $200 plus tripplite unit 3 years ago it recently stopped working. Tried to get it repaired. They don't sell parts. This one has the same features and cost less.

Great value for the price range. Doesnt power devices for a very long time. Will provide enough power to finish your task and shut down a desktop PC without an abrupt outtage. Looks good aesthetically.
