Not a good Experience

Exactly 28 days later, the unit completely failed and became unusable. When I attempted to return this defective merchandise, BestBuy, informed me that because I was outside of a 15-day return window, Best Buy would offer no remedy, replacement, or compensation, and that I would have to deal with the manufacturer directly.

There is a computer interface to provide this info on the screen, although I have not used it for my application. APC is a top of the line brand, nothing here to change that view.

One day I came home to find the unit in an alarm state displaying an FO2 error, while everything connected to it was powered off at the time the error occurred. I contacted the manufacturer, and after some troubleshooting they did offer to replace the unit. However, they also advised that this model is not intended for use with gaming computers. If it cannot adequately support or protect a basic gaming setup as advertised, it ends up feeling like an expensive paperweight rather than a reliable protection device.

I had one of their cheaper ones die on my in less than a year, and the back and forth to try and get it replaced was so frustrating, I just wound up tossing it, hoping it was a one off. Well, I just got this more expensive one and it hasn't even been 30 days and it bricked. There's no form anymore to submit for a claim. I only have a PC and a monitor plugged into this.

APC backup

We had several blips of power outage in today's storms and my computer kept trucking along as nothing was wrong. The power restored right away, so I did not have to shut down because the backup power was working so well.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.APC used to be top-tier, but these consumer Back-UPS units seem to be having issues or completely dying far too soon into their lifetime. I bought this in late January 2025 and we've already had a few instances of the dreaded F02 error. Thankfully the UPS seems OK after power-cycling each time. Definitely going to look at other brands as this has caused many cases of calls to tech support for office equipment outages.

At this time, there are no known field issues related to the BN1500M2 model that have been cascaded to our technical support team. The F02 is an output overload warning please try to remove load to see which equipment is causing it . We assure that our units are being tested before they are released for sales. As long as this unit is handled following the instructions and used within its intended purpose, then everything should be fine. Now if in case of a failure, we also assure you that our skilled Technical Support Representatives shall be here to help troubleshoot and/or replace as necessary as this unit is covered with a 3 year warranty.
