The only thing I can say is that it does not handle much amperage. Once it goes to battery the screen will go crazy and shut off if there is more than just my computer plugged in. I am HOPING mine isn't going bad.

I even called my neighbor over to help: he couldn't do it either. I have the cover held on with tape. I have the issue listed on my "to do" list the next time I have the Geek Squad over to work on my computer.

I have used APC for backup power supplies before and I am satisfied with their products.

It gives plenty of time to power down my pc. This unit works very well, provides stable power to the computer during electric power loss or brown outs I can safely shut down with no worries.

At this time, there are no known field issues related to the BN1500M2 model that have been cascaded to our technical support team. We assure that our units are being tested before they are released for sales. As long as this unit is handled following the instructions and used within its intended purpose, then everything should be fine. Now if in case of a failure, we also assure you that our skilled Technical Support Representatives shall be here to help troubleshoot and/or replace as necessary as this unit is covered with a 3 year warranty.

Just make sure you plug the usb to both the UPS and computer and download the software. Using it on a Linux server and there is software for it.
