    Defective APC-Back UPS.

    The APC back UPS Pro BIN 1500 VA never worked upon it's arrival to my home as purchased this year. I kept getting the FO2 malfunctioning error and a loud alarm. I made various phone calls to the manufacturer for help and support to get a replacement but they kept putting me off saying I needed to charge the battery. I wrote the company and still received no help. This is a great disappointment to me and a waste of money. I would not recommend purchasing this brand of Back-UPS to anyone. My experience was terrible.

I am unsure why this was the case as our technical support representatives is definitely trained to handle this fault code very differently compared to the procedures you were told to do and it should have not taken multiple interactions.     it would have been great but it went out and bestbuy store rep said it wasn't cover although I had and have the bestbuy insurance plan. probably shouldn't buy it from them. I had another unit from another place and it is still working strong.

    Bought to stop surges from Brother Printer.

    When printer on battery power plug. Surge causes APC to dump. Shuts down, taking computer with it. So bought one for just printer. Samething. Had APC that would run printer, computer, and scanner with out power. This one is however lacking.

      Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about our UPS. Unfortunately we do not recommend connecting laser printers to our UPSs because you can run into issues like you are experiencing. The printer is likely pulling over 900 watts which is overloading the UPS. I would try moving the printer to the surge only outlets on the UPS so you can at least have surge protection on the unit.     Nothing but trouble, APC no help

    The system will just stop sending power to all outlets randomly. There won't be an issue with wall power, it just stops sending power even to the non-battery backup outlets. The power light is still green but the digital display cannot be woken up and pressing or pressing and holding the power button does nothing. The only way to get it back is to unplug it from the wall and then disconnect the battery, and then reconnect everything. Contacted APC support and they wanted the logs but the problem is that a computer isn't always connected to it and it would usually have the issue when the computer was not connected.

    Find another UPS

    Plugged it in. Turned it on. It was pretty. Plugged in my speakers, cable modem, router and PC. Turned on PC. Had to step away for a meeting, and about 15 minutes of running my gaming rig (just windows 11 desktop, no apps running) the alarms went off and F06 (relay welding) Error screaming from this thing. When trying to hit mute button, nothing, had to unplug it from wall to make the wailing stop. It's gotta be burnt up, smells terrible. Glad I was home. I have an 850W power supply, and the cable modem and router should not have maxed this thing out. What's the manual or internet say about F06 - jack crap.

    Freeze After Outage

    The unit froze after power outages. You must remove the battery and reconnect for it to work again.

    [Employee of bestbuy] I don't know what happened to APC's quality. Less than 2 weeks, 4 malfunctions where I had to pull the battery out and hard reset to get it to work again.
