Power to the Workstation

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The APC 1500VA UPS provides backup power to my 15" MacBook Pro, 32" 4K monitor, OWC Thunderbolt 3 Dock, and attached peripherals. This prevents chaos that transient power outages can cause for external storage devices. When a more extended outage comes along, the UPS allows a graceful shut down for the monitor and external storage while the MacBook can continue on its own battery. The older, lower capacity UPS this unit replaced provides backup power for the modem, router, giga-bit switch, network file server, and network disk drives.

Typically if UPS has a F0 fault we would need to find out what it is before turning UPS off to see if UPS is still safe to turn on. At times UPS will cut power in cases of short circuits or overload. We do have a logic reset procedure but we recommended you call in first to find out if the UPS is safe to turn on before attempting Logic reset see article on link https://www.se.com/us/en/faqs/FA158947/ you have This UPS would come with a 3 year warranty. So far, so good. What I really like about it is the cable in and out capability which protects my network modem from a cable line spike. Set up was pretty easy.
