It functions when it isn't important- when power is fine, and sometimes for short blips- maybe 30% of the time it will still put my computer into a hibernate in those cases. But it is unreliable when needed. Frequently it will instead have a fault and just start screaming without stop, instead of gracefully shutting down. Usually this happens when I'm not home so who knows how long it's been like that just yelling at my pets.

It buzzes all the time!

I am not an electrician, so i can't speak to the interference, voltage,or harmonics within the feed from the wall.

It has worked every time that there has been a problem with a power surge. I sometimes get a surge when I use my color laser printer and it keeps the power steady for devices that are plugged into it.
