I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase of the APC Back-UPS 1500VA. In a world increasingly dependent on consistent power supply for devices and systems, this unit is an absolute game-changer. Firstly, the 1500VA capacity provides an abundance of backup power, efficiently sustaining my home office during several power outages. The built-in surge protection has proven invaluable, shielding my expensive electronics from unpredictable voltage spikes. The unit's seamless integration with my systems is noteworthy. I am particularly impressed with the PowerChute software that provides automated, unattended shutdown, ensuring data preservation and system integrity during extended power outages. Furthermore, the design of the Back-UPS 1500VA is appealingly compact, fitting conveniently under my desk. It has a user-friendly interface with an easily readable display that shows important stats such as remaining battery life and load capacity. What sets this UPS apart is its ecological efficiency - the Green mode reduces power consumption by bypassing unused electrical components, aligning with my values of energy conservation. Finally, I must commend APC's excellent customer service, which has been responsive and helpful whenever I had questions. The 3-year warranty and $200,000 connected equipment policy offer an extra layer of reassurance in my investment. In conclusion, the APC Back-UPS 1500VA delivers on its promise of reliability and performance, providing an exceptional level of power backup security and peace of mind. Highly recommended for anyone needing a high-capacity, high-performance UPS. It is indeed a 5/5 star product.

Bad button placement for 617 million people.

Did you know that almost 10% of humans are old? That means that having a power button that is difficult to press (due to being low to the ground or recessed) means that when this thing starts beeping because the battery is depleted it’s unnecessarily difficult for my customers to press that power button. some of them use a cane for walking and they can’t easily press the power button with their cane because it’s slightly recessed. Having an easy-to-press power button at the top of the unit is an ideal configuration.

This is my third 1500VA APC UPS backup. Has enough power to keep my Brother laser printer running. The other two APC units run my two desktops. I like that it shows the power being used and the AC Input Voltage. No problems.

APC is the leader in UPS. I have bought a bunch of different brands in the past but usually come back to APC. The quality and features are well worth the slightly higher cost. I like that this one has 6 battery backup outlets which is critical since I run triple monitors. This has more then enough capacity for my workstation. A nice touch is the built in USB and USB-C charging ports, this is really convenient to charge up my phone recharge my keyboard and mouse. The one thing I would like to see is for the USB-C port to be power delivery so I can charge my laptop. it is only a 15W total output for the two USB ports.

Setting up a Backup UPS is very easily done with this model and gives peace of mind when you place your Modem and computer equipment on it to ensure both are protected from surges as well. Just connect the battery and you are ready to go after your devices are attached. It shows your outlet voltage and the duration of the power available. Place the warranty information with your date of service to remind you when you may need to replace the unit or the APC battery when it is needed in the future. I use APC because it is easy to service battery replacement as well.

I was so impressed with the first one that I bought another one. Good price, excellent performance. We have frequent short-term power outages and these two units keep things running until I can shut down the PC's & other equipment. Very nice front panel display.

Great product overall. Has no problem supporting and protecting my computer set up. I run everything through it, including my home wifi. It is quiet, good spacing for outlets, and includes USB outlets on the front so you do not have to use a charging brick. Setup was quick. Slim design allows me to tuck it behind my desk and out of the way.

Three easy steps: Connect the battery, plug it in, then plug in everything you want covered. There's an extra step I haven't done yet to install software on my PC that will automatically shut down my programs and turn the PC off in case of a power outage, but the power went out recently when my PC was in sleep mode, and I had several hours to attend to the beep (which I could hear from across the house). Love it so far!

I have 2 of these already, this is the third. The oldest is over 10 years old and has never had a problem. I pretty much run a whole network off of each: computer, TV, NAS drives, router, printer. Gives enough time to do a proper shutdown, and connects to the computer via USB so your computer can know to shutdown if you're not there.

I have used all sorts of models of APC UPSes and have yet to be let down by one. I have some APC UPSes that are going on 10 years old, and have no reason to believe that this unit will be any different. Compared to the old model, this UPS is smaller physically, and has a more readable display. I love the tilted display so that you can see it without bending over. This unit is powering a 27" iMac with 2 23" displays, a Thunderbolt 3 dock, several extenal HDDs, an Ethernet switch, and powered speakers, and it looks like I'll get around 30 minutes of runtime powering all of that. That's about 10 minutes longer than the unit that this one is replacing (which will now be serving network closet duty). I did not notice any clicking noises coming out of the unit unlike some of the other reviewers. I did however, notice a bit of a high pitched noise while the LCD is on. It is fairly quiet, and it doesn't really bother me much to be honest. You won't be able to hear it with most normal computer related tasks going on.

Does what it is supposed to. Needed a bigger battery backup for my gaming PC. This one has more than enough headroom to power my 6800xt, 12600k, and 2 monitors. Gives me plenty of time to power down in the event of an outage. The screen on the front is nice as you can cycle through displaying current wattage use, time remaining on battery power, etc...

After many years of service, my APC Back-UPS NS 1250 gave up and this is the replacement. Nice upgrade with the display on the front. This UPS support a big system, I9-7920, 64GB, roughly a dozen HD's, multiple monitors and shows the load at ~1/3. Use case for me is preventing system resets during short power blips. This UPS will last well over 5 minutes and if the power is out longer than that I shut down (gracefully) and wait until the main power is restored. Excellent UPS

this has been great. We have a number of short power outages. This keeps our modem and wifi running. So, we don't need to reset things when the power goes it. It is very convient. The best compliment I could give is that I don't notice we have it.

I love this UPS so much I bought a second one. It works exactly as advertised, easy to set up and it's been running great. It saved me several times as we tend to get brief power outages here fairly often. I use it to keep my router and primary computer up and running and the second one is attached to a very expensive long arm quilting machine that my wife uses. This is power in the middle of a session it can create serious problems.

I bought this UPS to replace an older, much larger and noisier one. I'm very happy with this purchase because the replacement was very simple and the equipment is well protected. I already had the opportunity to test it during a power outage. Good choice.

    Powerful Battery Backup

This battery backup allows multiple items to be plugged in for both surge and battery protection. Currently it is protecting a desktop computer, a 32" monitor, an LCD TV, and a PS4. We have "dirty" electricity and experience multiple surges each week; however, I know my expensive electronics are safe with this UPS. Plus, in a power outage I have a precious few minutes to shut everything down properly and not lose my data. Just be aware it is very heavy.

I've owned multiple APC products over the years and they've saved countless pieces of equipment from damage during power surges and brown outs. Recently my area was hit hard by some storms that knocked out power to many of my neighbors. I picked up this unit from Best Buy and immediately hooked it up. The power went out the very next day so I got to test it out right away. I managed to get about 30 minutes from the battery which was really great. This unit was a bit more pricey than I was looking to spend, but it's been worth it.
