I bought this battery backup to protect my equipment from constant power outages... best decision ever!

apc back ups is really good for computer and security camera...

The unit froze after power outages. You must remove the battery and reconnect for it to work again.

Easy to use. Just plug and play. No additional software needed.

The system will just stop sending power to all outlets randomly. There won't be an issue with wall power, it just stops sending power even to the non-battery backup outlets. The power light is still green but the digital display cannot be woken up and pressing or pressing and holding the power button does nothing. The only way to get it back is to unplug it from the wall and then disconnect the battery, and then reconnect everything. Contacted APC support and they wanted the logs but the problem is that a computer isn't always connected to it and it would usually have the issue when the computer was not connected.

Easy setup does its job. Buy it. You won’t be dissapointed.

Good for protecting equipment during commercial power issues.

I don't know what happened to APC's quality. Less than 2 weeks, 4 malfunctions where I had to pull the battery out and hard reset to get it to work again.

Love the connection for all the connector and the display

When printer on battery power plug. Surge causes APC to dump. Shuts down, taking computer with it. So bought one for just printer. Samething. Had APC that would run printer, computer, and scanner with out power. This one is however lacking.

Works great, easy to hook up my Starlink modem to it

This often fails me. I have called support and it works for a month or so, then stops again. Worthless to me if it is not going to work when I need it.

I've have 3 APC units and one of them is a different model. They all 3 failed in the same way (overheating and strong bad smell). One of them came defective, the other one failed roughly within a year with almost no use. The other one lasted a bit longer but I can't really recommend APC with 3 out of 3 units failed. I treat my equipment very well so it was not because of misuse. Will see if I have better luck it CyberPower or another brand.

APC has always been a reliable brand of UPS for me, and I want to stick with the best for my electronic equipment. I have two smaller UPS units for my PCs, but I needed this larger backup for my wiring closet. In this central closet, I currently have a wireless router, two camera systems, my home automation hub, Ooma telo, MyQ gate controller, and two RasPi systems for ADSB flight tracking. None of those use a huge amount of power, but I wanted a nice, big UPS to handle all of them with plenty of running time. This Back-UPS Pro 1500VA is perfect for the job. The battery is easy to access. It’s shipped with it disconnected, so the first step is to open it up and connect the positive wire. After that, you just plug it in and let it fully charge. The display on the front panel is great to have and it’s something I always miss on the smaller UPS models. This one shows you the load capacity, battery capacity, and a counter of events that triggered it to go on-battery, among other things. The dedicated button to mute the alarm is a nice feature, too. To get that 1500VA and long run time, it definitely is a heavy UPS with a battery that seems to physically be about 3 times bigger than in the smaller units. So, plan ahead for a place to put it. It’s designed to stand upright, but probably in a pinch you could lay it on one side to fit on a shelf or underneath something. I do wish it came with an option to wall mount it, just because I like to keep things off the floor, but it could always be put on a sturdy shelf if you have the space. So far, I’m super happy with the UPS and expect it will protect all my equipment for years to come.

The first one was DOA. Returned and the second one has dead batteries and errors out after about 2 months. I am disappointed in a brand I used to value.

Plugged it in. Turned it on. It was pretty. Plugged in my speakers, cable modem, router and PC. Turned on PC. Had to step away for a meeting, and about 15 minutes of running my gaming rig (just windows 11 desktop, no apps running) the alarms went off and F06 (relay welding) Error screaming from this thing. When trying to hit mute button, nothing, had to unplug it from wall to make the wailing stop. It's gotta be burnt up, smells terrible. Glad I was home. I have an 850W power supply, and the cable modem and router should not have maxed this thing out. What's the manual or internet say about F06 - jack crap.

The first one of these I got was less than a month ago and had to be replaced. I hope this one works better!

Neighbor watered our plants stated beeping non-stop. Everything plugged in remained powered off. Why would this unit not power itself back up? I lost internet and security cameras this entire time. What am I missing?
