Left it plugged in with no connections, and it quit in a couple of days. You could smell that some electrical component had burned up. Returned for a full refund. The company didn’t have another one in stock, so I purchased a different brand.

This is not a usual behavior of the UPS but may happen when encountering surge when UPS is not able to shunt thru ground. In these cases the UPS UPS would come with a 3 year warranty.
