Great Protection and Power Backup Module

Purchased to provide protection and sufficient backup power to allow a controlled shut down (in case of AC power loss) for a new desktop PC. Have had prior versions of APC backups and have only needed to change the battery pack every few years. APC's upper grade models (such as this one) will signal when it detects the battery pack needs replacement.

My husband got this model years ago to support his gaming machine. I just built myself a new machine and got one to support it. Plenty of outlets, properly spaced. Love the front panel readout. Easy to set up, easy to use, and provides enough power for a safe shutdown in case of power outage. APC is the leader for a reason. This unit does not disappoint.

This product works great to connect your Wi-Fi all of your devices and when there’s a power outage you still have power to continue doing your work because it runs on the battery I mainly bought it just in case there was a program power outage and I needed to do schoolwork However, I have noticed that my devices are also protected and they seem to work better.

It keeps up with my PC and monitors with plenty of time to shut down. Would never run a PC without it. The software works fine, but could maybe use a facelift? It gets the job done and I can just forget it's there.

Simple to set-up and easy to use. Also, has lots of battery+surge protection outlets. Because of the two batteries, it is heavy.

Was super easy to install and worked well right out of the box. My house has lost power a few times since installation, and this backup has kept things running smoothly. Highly recommend!!

I have 2 of these I’ve purchased in the past. Always reliable and can handle any power outages. I have a gaming rig plus a 32 inch wide screen monitor. It gives me at least 25-30 mins to safely shut down my machine. Also my area is prone to power surges and blackouts. Before I got this my gaming rig was unprotected and fried my power supply. My other computers were unaffected.

Had gotten this for my computer so that I have more complete protection on the power than just Surge protection. having backup power and enough of it for a my gaming computer to work through brownouts, short blackouts, and giving enough power to do a proper shutdown in the event of an extended blackout.

I use this UPS to keep two desktop computers, the cable modem (Internet connection) and an ASUS router+2nd hub (for home network devices) online and protected from brownouts or blackouts. Never had any problems with my systems because of the UPS.

Works like it should. The real test will be to see how long it lasts before it needs a new battery or replacement.

Provides an estimate of runtime available on battery based on amount of current being drawn. When the battery runtime drops, a safe automated shutdown is provided by the PowerChute software. Perfect solution to protect against surges, brownouts, and power outages.

I have all major electronics on APC UPS's. Its a great feeling when you hear the unit beep as the house lights dim or temporarily go out and your television, internet and other devices continue to function as if nothing happened. If there is an outage, the display lets you know exactly how much time you have at current consumption levels. Sometimes our voltage goes as high as 130V, and its good to know that our components are getting a constant 120V. AVR, TV, Sub Woofer, Printers, Modem, Router, Apple TV, at least one light, and anything else are plugged into multiple APC UPS's. When we first moved in to this area a dozen years ago, there was a brownout at 2AM that caused the loss of data on a new computer, and I swore never again! I've been hooked on these units ever since. Customizable for sounds (or none) when there is an event. The Batteries are replaceable, and the staff at Batteries Plus will do it for you! If you think the price is expensive, wait until you have to retrieve date from a fried disc, and subject your private info to the purview strangers out of your presence. When (not if) you purchase one, remember, the higher the VA, the more time you have if there's an outage. I've seen and read that these can arrest a lightning strike, saving your equipment. I hope to never find out.

    Classic heavy duty backup power

IMPORTANT: Don't expect this to make your desktop PC last as long as a laptop. Don't connect cooking appliances to it. Don't connect more than about 12A worth of devices to it. If connected to a PC, make sure to set up the power reporting so that the computer can safely shut down if power remains off. Try to remember to test your battery every few months using a safe load such as a fan or a work light. These are basic, simple heavy duty home/small office backup batteries. The output quality is good enough for most computers and electronics, and there is excellent protection against low voltage and spikes. A single unit should be enough to protect the critical parts of a gaming setup or office workstation. You can use the menu to see how much power you are using, but the screen does not stay on. A sustained load of 900 watts or more could cause problems so be sure to check, I have several of these; one is protecting a home theater PC, a high end TV and a sound bar. I bought a long USB cable to connect the monitoring software on the PC, and another long cable to use the front charging port. I never use the charging port on the others.

APC UPS give you piece of mind for battery backup

I have always purchased APC over other brands because they are reliable. When you don't have surge protection at the electrical panel, the next best thing is to have APC battery backups. Our electricity goes out a few times a year for hours in Ohio and we have electrical storms pass through as well, so its best to protect your computers/TV's/etc. with a UPS. APC products work great!

This unit has protected my sensitive electronics from under-voltage, energy spikes, power outages, and hopefully protect against a lightning bolt. It also has a display showing you energy usage, input voltage, estimated time remaining, among other things.
