Unfortunately, both times the power has gone out since I bought these and ran our entire internet and phone setup through them, the whole internet and phone system went down with all the rest. So after all that all I get is that it beeps loudly and obnoxiously in the dark while you are cursing because, y’know, best laid plans & all that.

I would just double check that the equipment is plugged into the battery protected outlets and just not the surge only side. If it is plugged into the correct outlet I would just make sure the internal battery is connected. For some reason I have had 4 stop working. This one I bought at Best Buy is still going well! Last one I heard like 7 or 8 beeps and saw the battery light blinking. I looked to make sure it was plugged in, and it was inside. So, I replaced with a CyberPower brand. I like CyberPower better now. CS was terrible at APC!

APC Battery Backup Review

Love the backup. I’d like to get one for my entertainment system also so if there is a storm I would still have internet and be able to watch the news.

Battery cable inside was a bit hard to get to sit right, the cord was a little too long and rigid when I was trying to put the battery back into the case. The electricity where I live isn't always stable so having something like this for my expensive PC is a worthwhile investment.
