Could not get the same as old one so, try this one. Working very good battery were almost at full charge, when I got it. Took bit to set the monitor to stay on. Brighter than my old one I like that.

Unreliable.

I have reduced to the bare minimum of load and it still fails. I have 6 UPS throughout my house. The other 5 are rock solid. This trips every time my generator kicks on. Finally replaced with a similar Eaton product and have no issues. Avoid this device for mission critical back up. Google this device and "F02" to see that is just a faulty product.

Stay Away

To avoid the chirping, don't buy one of these. This thing never worked correctly from the first day. Calls to Customer Service only gave temporary respite before the crash to black and chirping started again. Stay away - you have been warned.

There is a miss rate

No power outages (at least none the stove clock felt). So now I have to pay to ship it back to them to get a "reconditioned" unit (their standard policy) when they find the time.

Don't order unless you like gambling

I have had to return 2 of these so far because they we both dead on arrival. The first one had a charging fault, and the second one wouldn't detect the battery. Based on other reviews, this seemed like a good unit. I just can't recommend gambling on APC's non-existent quality control.

At this time, there are no known field issues related to the BN1500M2 model that have been cascaded to our technical support team. We assure that our units are being tested before they are released for sales.

Sold as new not as referbershed. Died 3 days after purchase, like 2 nights of use. Also died during the worst winter storm in the state this year. There was no power outage it just won’t turn on anymore.

Caught Fire (Three of Them)

Do not trust your life or your home to APC.

Failed in 15 months

First time power went down unit lasted about 3 hours backing up internet and server. Next time power went out, 15 months after purchase, and unit did not last two minutes leading to instant shutdown on delicate equipment. I am submitting a warranty claim.

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to review our UPS. I am sorry to hear that the runtime didn't last as long as you thought it would. The runtime will depend on how much power the equipment draws. The unit would have 3 minutes of runtime at full load which is 900 watts. At half runtime it would be around 11 minutes. The power draw is less then this then the runtime would be longer. If you believe the load is a lot lower than this and the UPS should provide more runtime please do not hesitate to reach out to an APCbySchneider support team.
