    This unit arrived with a dead battery and would not charge or recognize the battery. Manufacturer has opened a case to try and resolve. Appears to have exceed3d the shelf live of the item while inBest Buy inventory.

    F02 Error randomly shut down , I literally just bought this less than 2 weeks ago and it already failed ... I am gonna try my luck getting a different one.

      We apologize for this inconvenience. An F02 means an output short. This can mean either a component issue however, external reasons can also cause this.     Fire Hazard

    I bought this just after Christmas and 4 months later the thing nearly caught fire. Smoke started seeping out of it and a acrid smell of melting plastic filled my room. Avoid this if at all possible.

    Arrived Dead. Great Product. APC quality control is garbage. Power cable on battery outlet looks shredded from the unfinished sharp corners of the crap injection molding job.

      Possible reasons for your back UPS not powering on could be that the batteries are not connected properly, the power on/off button has not been pushed, the UPS is not connected to the utility power supply, or there is very low or no utility voltage. To troubleshoot, check that the battery connectors are fully engaged, press the power on/off button once, ensure that the power cable from the UPS to the utility power supply is securely connected, and check the utility power supply to ensure proper voltage at the receptacle.

    I bought two apc backup devices from BestBuy 1500M2 which has been giving a fault voltage not grounded red light on. Electrician has Check the house wiring no issues breakers and earth is correct. 1100 plugged in working correctly no issues or problems red light not on

    Great when you need to save your work

    This was a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be. But worth having. This will keep your PC up and running for 10-20 minutes. This gives you enough time to save any work. Or you can use this to back up modem/router, and power your tablets or phones etc. for a longer period. It has plenty of plugs on the back, some are just for surge protecting, while others do both surge and battery backup. It also has a USB-A and USB-C on the front. This is one complaint that I do have and that is that it does not have at least 2 USB-C ports. I would have liked to have seen 2 of each personally. It has a nice LCD monitor and lets you know what your load on it is, and about how long you have. Right now, I am using this in my front room with my router/modem to keep those powered on. I have tablets and phones and laptops, so when power goes out, it is nice to still be able to have internet and stream movies etc. as well as turn around and charge those devices as needed. My only other gripe is the size. But that is a great tradeoff for the power you get. If you do work from home, or work on a PC in general where you need to save if power goes out. This is for you. Even if you do not, you can still find this useful like I mentioned to keep other devices powered.

    This ups is not good. It doesn’t return to power when your electricity comes back on, then dies. After 4 months of minimal load, it will no longer power on. Waste of money!

    Lasted 2 weeks and unit will not power on. No signs of surge or anything that would have taken it out.

I recommend disconnecting all the attached equipment, unplug the unit from the wall, and then disconnect the internal battery. While everything is disconnected please hold the power button on the unit for around 10 seconds. Reverse the instructions to power the unit back up.     Bad backup

    Have had nothing but issues with this unit since I bought it. I’ve normally loved APC products, but this battery backup triggers the F02 error code all the time.

    Back up with Confidence and Quality

    I have had a number of APC products including some older gen units. APC has definitely improved on their already awesome performing products and this one is beautiful. It weighs more than it looks like it would which usually is a good sign. The fit and finish is absolutely high quality and I expect this to item to last for many years. What I enjoy most about this APC product is that it doesn't just have the outlets for back up of important electronics, but it also has USB-C for charging electronics with the APC quality, a clear digital display with info for everything necessary to quickly monitor, and it fits right in with high end electronics. Having an APC back up is essential these days with so many household electronics and smart products that connect to the wifi. This keeps the connection going in the household for cell phones to connect and to keep your PC running if necessary. It is just a rock solid backup for your PC and network, and APC is known for their reliability and quality products.

    Unit Failed after 16 days

    Unit failed after 16 days of use. Returned to Best Buy for full refund and purchased a new unit. I have owned 3 APC-Back-UPS in the past with no problems. My last UPS 1300 unit ran for 6 years before the battery died. Hope this issue was the exception.

    Bought in August 2023. Battery defective Feb 2024. Warranty and Total Membership doesn't cover it. Straight into the trash ( at the recycling center ).

This means it will output a pure sine wave while online. The unit would also come with a 3 year manufactures warranty too so if you have any issues with the unit please do not hesitate to reach out to an APCbySchneider support team. We also smaller units that cost a bit a less as well if you wanted to check them out as well. APC

    Simple setup, Good on line support for setting up email notifications on Gmail, simple Windows app. Arrangement of outlets makes it difficult to plug power supplies for modem and router directly into unit, otherwise, excellent.
