    If you like your electronics

    Definitely a must if you have electronics that you care about. power goes out and this thing kicks in right away. Giving me ample time to shutdown everything I have plugged into it. Panning on buying a second one soon for my game room.

    Cheap components used

    Mine blew up in the middle of the night and sent sparks flying a few feet into the air. Luckily computer was off and there was nothing flammable nearby. If you google around, you'll find the APC decided to use parts that are well under spec on the battery output side. So they'll likely fail after warranty runs out (customer support for consumer grade products is poor). This is nowhere near the quality APC sells for commercial grade that they are known for.

    Purchased Sept. 2021. Started having issues with the unit when it was self testing, when it switched to battery, with a fully charged battery, it flashed bad battery and never switched back to AC. I know the battery is good, it does charge when the unit is reset. I am going to attempt warranty replacement with this unit and go for a different model. Normally APC has been great.

    Unit Catches FIre!!

    DO NOT BUY! We had 2 units that caught fire within a couple months of each other. When we contacted the APC they said to mail the unit back for investigation. Somehow they lost the unit and didn't seem to care that a building almost caught on fire twice. Terrible customer service, terrible product. Do your research on other sites and you will see others with similar issues. Clearly APC knows this is happening and they are doing nothing about it. Clearly they don't care if people get hurt or if their house/office building goes up in flames.

At Schneider Electric we take customer concerns very seriously and as so, our Quality Engineers monitor the products' performance in the field very closely. At this time, there are no known field issues related to the BN1500M2 model that have been cascaded to our technical support team. We assure that our units are being tested before they are released for sales. As long as this unit is handled following the instructions and used within its intended purpose, then everything should be fine. Now if in case of a failure, we also assure you that our skilled Technical Support Representatives shall be here to help troubleshoot and/or replace as necessary as this unit is covered with a 3 year warranty.     Died after a month

    Was working ok. Had once started beeping in the middle of the night. Just died after a month of use. Total garbage. Avoid!!

    Defective non returnable to Best Buy

    Historically APC a decent company. But unit failed in less than a month and Best Buy will not take it back (unless you purchase their extended warranty at time of purchase.)...Would give Best Buy and APC zero stars on this one.
