Best purchase of 2023
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The #1 best purchase of 2023. If you don't have your pc on one your risking a lot. Its expensive but dam is it worth not having to worry your computer or other devices will explode due to a bad power strip. The added time before blackouts is great as well.

Great UPS
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used all sorts of models of APC UPSes and have yet to be let down by one. I have some APC UPSes that are going on 10 years old, and have no reason to believe that this unit will be any different. Compared to the old model, this UPS is smaller physically, and has a more readable display. I love the tilted display so that you can see it without bending over. This unit is powering a 27" iMac with 2 23" displays, a Thunderbolt 3 dock, several extenal HDDs, an Ethernet switch, and powered speakers, and it looks like I'll get around 30 minutes of runtime powering all of that. That's about 10 minutes longer than the unit that this one is replacing (which will now be serving network closet duty). I did not notice any clicking noises coming out of the unit unlike some of the other reviewers. I did however, notice a bit of a high pitched noise while the LCD is on. It is fairly quiet, and it doesn't really bother me much to be honest. You won't be able to hear it with most normal computer related tasks going on.

Reliable Power
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The APC Back-UPS Pro are wonderful ways to protect electronic devices from power surges as well as unexpected power outages. I go a little bit too far with the battery back-up units and have more than a dozen around the house. I protect all of my computer equipment as well as my TV/video system. I have a projector and it came with a warning, do not unplug the projector while it was operating, or it is possible that the bulb could be damaged. I was there when someone tripped over a cord and unexpectedly disconnected power to a projector at a trade show class and within a few seconds, there was a "POP" and the bulb exploded. I was watching a movie on my video projector when power went out. The UPS automatically kicked in and prevented any damage to the bulb; the bulbs are very expensive. I have also been able to do controlled shutdowns of my computers when power was unexpectedly lost. If you have a UPS and it saves one nice piece of electronic equipment or allows you to save the work you are doing on a computer rather than loose progress and possibly have corrupted data, I feel it is very much worth it. Just be aware that you will usually need to replace the batteries in the UPS about every 4-5 years.

Does the job
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After many years of service, my APC Back-UPS NS 1250 gave up and this is the replacement. Nice upgrade with the display on the front. This UPS support a big system, I9-7920, 64GB, roughly a dozen HD's, multiple monitors and shows the load at ~1/3. Use case for me is preventing system resets during short power blips. This UPS will last well over 5 minutes and if the power is out longer than that I shut down (gracefully) and wait until the main power is restored. Excellent UPS

No more worries, our equipment is covered!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Compact in size but carries a large amount of equipment. This took the worry out of electrical storms and power outages, now all of our equipment stays up long enough for the generator to kick on and we don't lose anything!

Powerful Battery Backup
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This battery backup allows multiple items to be plugged in for both surge and battery protection. Currently it is protecting a desktop computer, a 32" monitor, an LCD TV, and a PS4. We have "dirty" electricity and experience multiple surges each week; however, I know my expensive electronics are safe with this UPS. Plus, in a power outage I have a precious few minutes to shut everything down properly and not lose my data. Just be aware it is very heavy.

Keeps me protected
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good amount of plugs. The front USB ports come in handy. It keeps my network equipment running for a good long time during an outage for my phone and laptop. I get a lot of brownouts and APC has never let my systems falter.

Excellent in Florida with power issues
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent UPS!!! Handled both my setups for work and play. Saved my desktop from a power outage with only a week of use. Handle it like a champ. Best feature is being able turn off the beep when the power cuts out. Just makes an audible click went it cuts over. Doesnt startle my dog.

Very Good, but Not Perfect
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After lightning took out my twelve year old APC BackUPS, I replaced it with this model. It works as advertised, but has one minor issue, and is missing one critical feature my old backup had. The minor issue... When the display on the front is on, the UPS emits a high pitched whine, audible from several feet away in a quiet room. I'd exchange the UPS if it weren't such a hassle, but it's likely they all do this. I have the display set to shut off after a few seconds to avoid the issue. The missing feature... My old APC UPS had a master electrical socket on the back that controlled a bank of other sockets. I had my PC plugged into that master socket, and when I turned off my PC, the UPS turned off that bank of other sockets. I had my external speakers, DAC, and headphones amplifier plugged into those sockets, and when I shut down my PC, the UPS turned off power to those devices. That was a handy feature I will miss. By the way, APC suggests replacing the batteries every three years. From experience, they will last at least twice that long. I don't replace mine until the UPS fails a self-test. Recycle your old batteries when you replace them. My old UPS gave its life protecting my computer, expensive digital piano, printer, etc. from a severe lightning strike. That's my main reason for having a UPS. Thanks, old UPS. You will be missed. :)

Up and running out of the box easy!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this item to replace a 5 year old failed cyber power unit that decided to quit on me and fail a battery swap I tried to conduct. This unit was simple enough to setup and I had it up and running and in place within minutes of unboxing. No issues turning on and getting online to protect my home entertainment center.

Saving me during power outages
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned multiple APC products over the years and they've saved countless pieces of equipment from damage during power surges and brown outs. Recently my area was hit hard by some storms that knocked out power to many of my neighbors. I picked up this unit from Best Buy and immediately hooked it up. The power went out the very next day so I got to test it out right away. I managed to get about 30 minutes from the battery which was really great. This unit was a bit more pricey than I was looking to spend, but it's been worth it.
