UPS works well and the battery time is accurate. Allows user to control the screen and alarm for the unit and has enough plugs in the back.

I had a cyberpower one that actually caused damage to one of my devices that was attached to it when the cyberunit failed. New batteries in that one didn't work. Since I have used this same model in another location for my computer setup and it has been reliable for years to date, I decided to get another one of these.

We have purchased about 7 or 8 of these for all our office computers. They give you enough time to save and close before shutting down on power outages.

    An EXCELLENT Stress Reliever

My custom tower PC is the heart of my system, oversize high rez monitor, a couple of scanners, tethered DSLR from my DIY optical bench, etc. So right in the middle of backing up my 10TB RAID storage ~ over into the external {branded} backup 10TB RAID ~ the power into my house popped with an audible snap and went dead. Q.E.D. my decision could no longer be put off! This APC UPS represents the 'sweet spot' for my technology and my budget. It is exactly as advertised and perfectly suited. Not only did it pass all its internal tests and features, I did my shade tree mechanic test and just jerked the plug out of the wall. My system didn't even know about it! Just kept purring along sweetly and gave me generous time to do an organized apps quit, files saved, and normal shutdown. Now, this old buzzard can relax and not worry about the next tree to fall, lines shorted, and utility transformer a mile away blowing up like the Martians have attacked. I recommend it to anyone who wants to ease back and be tranquil.

Easy setup. I've got it hooked up to my 34 inch monitor and HP desktop machine. Also, a router. It is displaying only 20% load. I tested it out by flipping the circuit breaker and it worked fine. Displays the approximate amount of time you have based on load when power is cut. The beeper is nice to have and can be easily shut off from the front.

You Need This, Whether You Know It or Not

If you, like me, live in an area where the electrical grid can be, let's say, a tad "iffy" in high winds or a thunderstorm of some intensity (you should see the fireworks I've witnessed from impromptu transformer explosions, above- *and* below-ground), and if you happen to have all sorts of expensive items plugged in (computers/peripherals, audio/video gear, Et Cetera), you might want to check out an Uninterruptible Power Supply (or UPS for short…has nothing to do with the folks in brown trucks delivering stuff like this to your door) such as this. It comes in especially handy when you're two-thirds through (a) your fourth draft of the manuscript of the novel that everyone will *hopefully* remember you by, (b) that YouTube video that everyone will *hopefully* remember you by, or (c) that heavily-photoshopped image that maybe more than a handful of people will remember you by (hopefully not for the wrong reasons). If you happen to lose power to the computer you're slinging all this wonderfulness out on, the UPS will kick in, keeping things powered-up just long enough for you to save your work at a given stage, close your apps, and shut everything down. For the money being asked for this thing, consider it cheap insurance. Recommended.

Works as described. Fast delivery. Battery came fully charged. Have not had a power failure yet, so, no longevity test. It did work without hesitation when I pulled the power plug. My other APC units of the same size have lasted many years without fail. I expect the same from this unit.

this has been great. We have a number of short power outages. This keeps our modem and wifi running. So, we don't need to reset things when the power goes it. It is very convient. The best compliment I could give is that I don't notice we have it.

I bought this for my NAS so that it would keep running if the power went out. (Even though it has ZFS so not much danger.) This turned out to be a great deal and works awesome with my NAS, my Mac Studio, and several other external drives, a couple of NVME RAIDs, and my Apple Studio Monitor. It has the capability to signal to my NAS to shut down when the power is out after a specified time. It has plenty of plugs on the back. and the display is great. What more could one want? This has plenty of power to spare for my needs.

In today's digital age, ensuring uninterrupted power supply is paramount, especially for those who rely heavily on electronic devices. Enter the APC Back-UPS Pro BN 1500VA, a robust uninterruptible power supply (UPS) unit that promises to safeguard your valuable equipment while offering peace of mind. Having experienced its capabilities firsthand, I can confidently attest to its effectiveness and reliability. Positives: Reliable Power Protection: The APC Back-UPS Pro BN 1500VA provides a reliable backup power source, ensuring uninterrupted operation of connected devices during power outages or fluctuations. With its ample battery capacity, it can keep critical equipment powered for extended periods, allowing users to continue working without interruption or risk of data loss. Versatile Connectivity: Equipped with multiple outlets, including battery backup and surge protection, the Back-UPS Pro BN 1500VA offers versatile connectivity options for a variety of devices. Whether it's computers, networking equipment, or home entertainment systems, this UPS unit can accommodate a wide range of electronics, providing comprehensive protection against power-related issues. Intelligent Battery Management: One of the standout features of the Back-UPS Pro BN 1500VA is its intelligent battery management system, which maximizes battery performance and lifespan. Through automatic voltage regulation (AVR) and periodic self-testing, the UPS ensures optimal battery health, minimizing the risk of unexpected failures and downtime. User-Friendly Design: With its sleek and compact design, the APC Back-UPS Pro BN 1500VA seamlessly integrates into any home or office environment. The intuitive LCD display provides real-time information on power status, battery capacity, and load level, allowing users to monitor performance at a glance. Additionally, features like audible alarms and LED indicators alert users to potential issues, facilitating timely intervention and troubleshooting. Energy Efficiency: Beyond its primary function of power protection, the Back-UPS Pro BN 1500VA is also designed with energy efficiency in mind. Its Energy Saving Surge Protection outlets automatically cut power to idle peripherals, reducing energy consumption and saving electricity costs over time—an eco-friendly bonus that aligns with modern sustainability initiatives. Negatives: Limited Surge Protection Outlets: While the Back-UPS Pro BN 1500VA offers ample battery backup outlets, the number of surge protection-only outlets may be insufficient for users with numerous peripheral devices. This limitation could necessitate the use of additional surge protectors, detracting slightly from the unit's all-in-one convenience. Audible Alarm Volume: Some users may find the audible alarms of the Back-UPS Pro BN 1500VA to be too loud or intrusive, especially in quiet environments. While the alarms serve a crucial purpose in alerting users to power-related issues, the inability to adjust the volume or tone may be a minor inconvenience for certain individuals.

So far it's been solid and reliable. I've had a lot of brown-outs and 3 or 4 blackouts due to storms and this unit lets me safely finish what I'm working on and shut down my PC. I was a little put off that the batteries had to be connected before plugging it in, but after doing that it's been a great product.

Very good emergency back up power supply for when you need to update a computer that can take a good amount of power to keep up. I even use it to keep my home internet going and it can stay up for close to 4 hours if I don't have anything else eating the power.

This one replaces the one I bought back in approximately 2010. I got a battery failure error during our last power blip, and so I figured it was time for a new one. These devices also provide a conditioned source of power, eliminating the risks of voltage fluctuations (especially now that I live in Las Vegas) and keeping my computers safe. I also bought one for my 3D printers which claim to tolerate power outages, but if you’ve ever tested that theory you’d see that sometimes you get print failures, or at least a very visible “print line,” when the power comes back and they try to resume printing. I can’t recommend a better UPS brand, and in particular this 1550VA model, for most any residential equipment power and protection needs.
