Good Product
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This one will keep our internet/phone system up for over 8 hours. We've had good luck with APC UPS's. It would be helpful if they provided more info regarding sizing that included the amount of energy the UPS is going to use generating power.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used APC Back-UPS for many years with no problems. Chirps... APC C/S still not aware of fix
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like other reviewers have mentioned this unit has a very annoying chirp that goes off every 4-5 seconds. It's not any kind of UPS alarm. It's an electronic sounding high pitched chirp. Another reviewer described it well as a flash charging up. I can see how people may not hear it in a noisy environment. But I'm using this in a quiet home office. The reason for the 1 star: After a quick Google search I found that this noise is a common problem on early production units, serial numbers starting with 3B (my unit). APC is supposedly aware of the problem and units with serial numbers that start with 4B are fixed. Even though I just bought the unit, I called APC in hopes to have my unit replaced with the fixed model. The customer service representative I spoke with had no idea what I was talking about. She even went to speak with other team members to see if anyone heard of my issue. Even though the unit was fully charged, she came back suggesting it was the low battery alarm... Ugh... Since I just bought it, I just decided to take the unit back to BestBuy. I actually tried to find a unit on the shelf that started with 4B at BestBuy. All were old stock, starting with 3B. I returned the APC and purchased a CyberPower 1500VA backup unit. It cost less, and it works fine with no chirping. I've used APC products for years, I personally currently own 4 of their Smart-Ups. They were my go to battery backup company. Due to this unit and the lack of informed customer service I'm giving CyberPower a try. APC, it's fine to have a dud every once in a while. But inform your customer service to help current customers and get the bad units off the shelves. Obviously, there's a known issue with a few components you used. Don't keep selling the old units hoping customers don't notice.

Works, but had a weird problem...
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this UPS to replace an old UPS with a dying battery. When you unbox this UPS, you have to open the battery compartment, and connect the red wire to the battery, to get the UPS to function. I let it charge its battery overnight, before I plugged anything into it. Once you do this, the UPS works fine. --- I did have one weird problem - the UPS stopped supplying power (the UPS backup's generator never kicked in). The UPS would not respond to the ON/OFF button, which remained in the ON setting (even with the UPS unplugged). Like I said - weird. I managed to fix this problem by unplugging the UPS battery, waiting 15 seconds for the electronics to drain of power, then plugging the UPS battery back in again. The UPS has worked normally ever since. This problem has not reoccurred since I fixed it two weeks ago. Fingers crossed, hoping it was a one time glitch.

Smooth transition when power is cut off
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, its been great. I tried unplugging intentionally and it can hold out for more than 1hr with my alienware R12 PC, light hub, and netgear modem plugged to it and you won’t even noticed the power when out when in mute.

Big and plenty of power
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Big bad stable power for an unstable weather environment. I have a gaming PC with a 1300w power supply and four monitors, and using this gives me time to shut down safely. The software is much improved over the years as well with a much smaller footprint than previous versions of PowerChute.

Worked so well - replaced with the same product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This purchase is a replacement for an older well-used battery backup. The first one worked so well and was so dependable that we simply replaced it with the same product.

Don't have to think about it
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My old unit lasted 10 years, so I decided to buy this brand again. It was on sale so that is always a bonus. We use it in a home office for my daughters business computer, and we do have power bumps, outages and surges..... so far so good!

Works as expected.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to install other than it is heavy. So far, it works well. I turned off the power to my office and it starts immediately. My old one would delay enough to cause the PC to shutdown with data loss. It looks cool so I placed it off the floor next to the PC.

||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have it about a year and it works great. Easy set up.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy set up just plug in battery as show on instructions and plug into wall outlet and you are ready to go. For the price I think it is a little overvalued. I think the price should be more like $159 - $179 not the $207 that they are asking for here.
