Works as expected.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to install other than it is heavy. So far, it works well. I turned off the power to my office and it starts immediately. My old one would delay enough to cause the PC to shutdown with data loss. It looks cool so I placed it off the floor next to the PC.

Easy set up.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy set up just plug in battery as show on instructions and plug into wall outlet and you are ready to go. For the price I think it is a little overvalued. I think the price should be more like $159 - $179 not the $207 that they are asking for here.

Chirps... APC C/S still not aware of fix
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like other reviewers have mentioned this unit has a very annoying chirp that goes off every 4-5 seconds. It's not any kind of UPS alarm. It's an electronic sounding high pitched chirp. Another reviewer described it well as a flash charging up. I can see how people may not hear it in a noisy environment. But I'm using this in a quiet home office. The reason for the 1 star: After a quick Google search I found that this noise is a common problem on early production units, serial numbers starting with 3B (my unit). APC is supposedly aware of the problem and units with serial numbers that start with 4B are fixed. Even though I just bought the unit, I called APC in hopes to have my unit replaced with the fixed model. The customer service representative I spoke with had no idea what I was talking about. She even went to speak with other team members to see if anyone heard of my issue. Even though the unit was fully charged, she came back suggesting it was the low battery alarm... Ugh... Since I just bought it, I just decided to take the unit back to BestBuy. I actually tried to find a unit on the shelf that started with 4B at BestBuy. All were old stock, starting with 3B. I returned the APC and purchased a CyberPower 1500VA backup unit. It cost less, and it works fine with no chirping. I've used APC products for years, I personally currently own 4 of their Smart-Ups. They were my go to battery backup company. Due to this unit and the lack of informed customer service I'm giving CyberPower a try. APC, it's fine to have a dud every once in a while. But inform your customer service to help current customers and get the bad units off the shelves. Obviously, there's a known issue with a few components you used. Don't keep selling the old units hoping customers don't notice.

Great battery backup
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works great as a backup battery. It has plenty of outlets on it to accommodate my computer, two monitors, the printer, and a few other accessories. I've used APC battery backups for years so I trust that this will serve me well for many years.

Great UPS to keep everything running
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great UPS and I was lucky to pick it up when it was on sale. This has saved my bacon more than a few times with the rolling power outages that have seem to happen more, and more frequently. It keeps my modem, router, NAS, 55" TV, and network switch up for 80-90 minutes. I actually picked up another one to run my main computer with a 1200 watt PSU. It is on the heavier side, obviously, but it is a huge improvement over my 650VA UPS that used to run the modem, router, and wife's iMac. If you can find it on sale, pick it up!

Great for professionals
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best for professional uses. Much more reliable than cyberpower and a necessary upgrade if you have vital equipment for professional use. Also has a handy watt usage display that functions like a KillAWatt

Protects our streaming equipment
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased the APC Back-Up to protect our streaming equipment. I was concerned about noise. It is very quiet. It has options for audible alarms so no issue there. Plugs are spaced generously so even the odd shaped plugs fit. Easy setup. Very happy with this system.

Great
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In Hawaii, I receive power outages a lot and it provides power at minimum usage for 3 hours. I got it to be able to safely shut down my $4,500 gaming pc to prevent it from getting damage from outages.

Solid Device
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had a storm this weekend and this device worked. One drawback is that only a certain number of the outlets iprovide the battery backup. And if your plug is odd shaped it might not fit. And some if the settings might be a little confusing.

A Very Good UPS
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seems to be a great UPS! I say "seems to be" because the power hasn't gone out and I haven't unplugged it yet as a test. I can say that I have not had a single electrical-related issue of any type since buying 2 of these UPS's.
