I do not recommend for this purpose. Will support 90 minutes only so if the power really goes out not useful, but for minor outages I will sleep through them. Love that the alarm is silencable unlike past backups I had for pc. This is intended to give you time to safely save work and shut down pc, not power a medical device. For the intended purpose this thing is fantastic

APC makes great back-up units!

Easy setup and quiet
