I used to have outages in my apartment

Great power back up option for home networking

I got this with the hope that power outages would not send my network into confusion. So far so good.

Power to the Workstation

This prevents chaos that transient power outages can cause for external storage devices. When a more extended outage comes along, the UPS allows a graceful shut down for the monitor and external storage while the MacBook can continue on its own battery. The older, lower capacity UPS this unit replaced provides backup power for the modem, router, giga-bit switch, network file server, and network disk drives.

Better than Cyberpower

The cost is a bit higher that its counterpart, but I am using this on a critical system which makes the higher price justified.
