    It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. I use this to protect my custom gaming PC. So far I haven't had an opportunity to test it's surge or UPS capabilities and id prefer to keep it that way. The overall build is solid, and the directions were clear.

    Power went out during storm last night. Back-UPS came on automatically. Did not lose internet or streaming service. Turned off automatically when power came back on. Wonderful device.

    Bought this APC unit to provide backup power to two pc's, two monitors, a Netgear router and a cable modem from Spectrum. In the two instances so far when we lost power, once for about 15 minutes and the other a transient outage for less than a second, the APC unit worked perfectly as advertised. I also like the display showing power usage and time left indication.

    The Backup Power appears to be working great. We had several blips of power outage in today's storms and my computer kept trucking along as nothing was wrong. The power restored right away, so I did not have to shut down because the backup power was working so well.

    This thing is amazing. I love the new upgraded look over the older APC UPSs. The 1500VA really cranks out lots of juice before running out. Unless you have a TON of things dangling off the back of this thing you will almost certainly make it by with this thing (unless you have a lengthy power outage). HIGHLY recommend.
