I had a 7 year old APC that finally died. This replacement is better in every way. More powerful, better software. My computer has a 750 watt power supply. There are two 32 inch monitors, a router, external hard drives, and speakers plugged-in. All good.

Ive already since i got it seen it kick on just from power surges not even from power outages. Keeps my game systems and tvs and everything goin. Ive got 3 diff apc's and all them work awsome.

Keep stuff running with APC Back-UPS Pro 1500VA

In the two instances so far when we lost power, once for about 15 minutes and the other a transient outage for less than a second, the APC unit worked perfectly as advertised. I also like the display showing power usage and time left indication.

I use this to protect my custom gaming PC. So far I haven't had an opportunity to test it's surge or UPS capabilities and id prefer to keep it that way. The overall build is solid, and the directions were clear.

I bought March 18, 2026 and installed it in a vacation home, supporting internet, heat thermostats, security system, and telephone. On April 11 it the UPS failed along with all the systems it supported. It took me a couple of weeks to get there to check what was wrong. We determined that it was the UPS. Too late to return to Best Buy.
