The battery works for a week then it begins beeping saying low battery even though the battery is fully charged

Did what it was supposed to do, but battery backup overloads when small Brother laser printer is in use.

I bought this, because at home there is so much upd and down. Til now, the device is Ok..

I bought this to replace a unit that was about 12 years old. When I connected the battery and placed it in my cabinet, the "Battery Dead" light immediately began to flash. Thinking it needed to charge I left it over night. It did not stop flashing. When I disconnected it from the wall, my computer immediately powered off. I returned it a couple of days later and got a replacement. The replacement threw a "Replace Battery" fault immediately. Back it went and I didn't replace it.

I'm not sure what "Schneider Electric" is doing now that they squired APC, a name I trusted and relied on for years. APC's batteries lasted me for YEARS. This one's lasted less than a single year.

I know little about this but it was pretty easy to install.

One year out from purchase date and the battery indicator says is it at the end of its life. You should get 3-5 years. Not happy. The unit works fine just expected better battery life

It works and nobody has to pay any attention to it!

This battery backup system and surge protector offers great protection for the money in a compact package. Its small size fits under my desk out of the way. It has plenty of surge protected outlets for all my gadgets. It has weathered two severe thunderstorms and several power outages without a hiccup. I will be buying another one just like it for my office.

The software that comes with the unit is not compatible with Windows 10, and the manufacturer has nothing online. So, when the power goes out, the computer won't have a soft landing.

Got one of these on sale recently. I have used many BR1500LCD's at work and thought the only difference in this model would be the green features for power saving. Not so. My application was in a media center location and the fan on this model is designed to run even while on A/C power. The noise generated by the fan is unacceptable in this type of application. According to APC support "the Fan in the unit, will always Runs, this is not an issue. The BX1500G went through a design change in which it was decided to switch to a different fan and to keep the fan on all the time. This means the fan will run while the unit is plugged in, whether on or off. This is to help reduce heat at the internal components, increasing service/battery life." In my experience the fan ran when the load was around 250 watts or higher and once it kicked on it stayed on until the PC was shut down. If the load was lower than that threshold at boot the fan did not start but if it got higher during operation it kicked on and stayed on. It is loud and annoying when trying to watch movies or tv. APC agreed to RMA it for a BR1500LCD. According to APC support the fan on this model only runs when 1.Tthe ups is on battery, 2. The UPS is charging the battery. 3. The UPS has a load greater than 75%. 4. The internal temperature of the UPS has reached greater than 140 degrees F (60 degrees C). In my experience I have had these models at 500 watts and never heard the fan at all. I have never heard them during charging, battery usage or any other time. If you need a quiet ups stay away from the XS series (BX model numbers).

Sorely disappointed in this unit. I liked the name brand and had a positive impression of their brand, but this UPS has had a battery failure less than one month after purchasing it. I will not be replacing it with this brand either.

this my 6th APC UPS. Currently 2 in use. 1 on the entertainment center, this one for my IMac system. Protect the equipment! I trust APC for 20 yrs now. Sure beats shutdowns due the power interruptions. ignore the previous review I posted. Trackpad jump to another link and I did not notice. My older one I just replaced the batteries after 4 yrs use.

This unit is great. It works as advertised, and is probably rated conservatively. I have it loaded with 2 computers and 4 large monitors and it provides 12 minutes of power. With one computer and 2 monitors about 40 minutes. In Hawaii we often experience monster spikes in electricity and this unit handles them in a stride. I must agree with other reviewers that the setup buttons are not user-firendly. However, the pain of setting up the unit is worth the result.

I had a geek squad battery back up for 10 years tell it quit working. This unit lasted 6 months. I am very disappointed.

i have the product for two months and i have to change the battery . so if do you want to buy the product make sure read the warranty.

This has been a great computer saver. Installs in just minutes, very well thought out battery implementartion and packaging. The LCD screen is a great function to check your system power and voltage. The automatic shutdown works. I have had many power failures and this device has saved my computer from past crashes. I woudl not get anything smaller, It is the right size for the right price 1500VA for less than 200 bucks with auto power down tied to your computer software shutdown.. The only con is you have to download the sofware . No software is packaged with the device.

Perhaps the greatest asset of this UPS is the time you get, I have a rather hungry set-up and most UPS units only gave me minutes of power, just enough to shut down, with this one I am more like 50 minutes to an hour. It was very easy to install, I did not want to automated shut-down but tried it out and it worked perfectly. The LCD display is handly mostly for seeing the time left but it is good to see input voltage and frequency. Also tells you before a power failure how much time you have left at the current load, another nice feature. APC is the brand to get for a UPS, they are leaders in commercial and consumer power management and far better than some of the AV oriended brands that I would not use to protect a light bulb much less my computer.
