When I plugged in my laptop, which has a 330W power supply, the yellow overload light was tripped. That should only happen if you have multiple devices drawing >12 amps. A single laptop shouldn't do that. The laptop could detect that it was plugged in, but it wouldn't charge. The battery level remained the same. I tried other outlets on the surge protector and had the same issue. I also tried plugging it into other wall outlets. No luck. I also tried plugging in just my monitor. Again, the overload light was tripped. This by itself wouldn't be a huge issue, as it could just be that the light was malfunctioning, but my laptop not charging was a huge issue. I ended up returning it and got a Belkin with a 15 amp max current. No issues, I connected all my devices and my laptop charges perfectly.
