Good UPS for the cost. I didn't need a lot of battery backed up ports so this worked well. The spacing was pretty good for larger power cords.

There seems to be some marketing involved with the branding and promotion of this UPS. This appears to me to be a good solid, unremarkable uninterruptible power supply. APC is marketing this as a modem & router backup, but doesn’t seem to have anything specific to those devices. Plug anything into it, when the power goes out, the battery kicks in. That’s pretty much it. It has a basic but extremely useful function in a basic functional design. It does appear to be outwardly and functionally identical to an older model APC UPS I own. This is not a complaint. For the price of this unit you get a very useful item. For my money the real value to this device isn’t so much to keep me online for extended outages, but to protect my network equipment from fluctuations in power supply that are often part of an outage. I did test run and ran my modem, router and VOIP connection on the battery for 15 minutes. I didn’t run the battery all the way down because I didn’t want to drop my network restart my devices again after unplugging them to attach to the UPS. The “up time” claims seem a bit optimistic to me, but it should keep you going for a short outage. The design is simple, with no flashing lights, LED displays or much else to look at. It is compact enough to tuck in fairly tight areas to keep it out of view. Tucked away, the lack of displays is a non-issue. The 4 battery outlets are nicely spaced out to allow you to plug in larger power supplies. There are no USB ports, but I don’t need them so that’s no big problem.

Have not had a power outage....will know more if an outage happens
