We bought 5 of these in the past few months and three occasionally shut off on their own and causes the computers they're connected to shut down. I hate this new version and seems they've lowered the quality to increase profits. These are the last APC UPS we'll be getting. Our older ones are still running strong with just a battery changes.

I had to trouble shoot the battery switch and shut down and reboot. Thus far it has been OK.

I had to return it, it worked but I just didn’t have space for the size of this unit.

The plugs on this UPS should be placed the other way to allow for larger items

Don't waste your time or money, just get a better UPS.

Nice package with good capability; however, low power rating only supports low end PC

This is a simple power backup/surge unit meant for your network equipment, meaning that if you limit what is connected to it to your modem and router, your internet will outlast one that is backing up power-hungry things like PCs and TVs. I now have one for the network and a separate one for my security camera modules, and a separate one for the PC. This box isn't expensive or very big so it fits in the budget and the space. Easy setup and a BIG improvement in this model--you no longer have to pry open a battery cover and connect a red wire lead in a tight little spot when you set it up. Now you just pop a fuse in place and you're ready to turn it on and use it. I've had other brands, nothing outlasts or outperforms an APC box.

I bought this back in 2018. It is now 2025. The battery is still perfectly running. I have multiple devices connected to it. All outlets are filled when power goes out. I still have power. It’s able to keep things running quite nicely. Obviously the battery is not as big as other competitors or other sizes that you can get so it does limit how much you battery power you do have when it does need to be Turned on but right now I have it set up in my office so if I were to lose power during the day or any type of glitch I still have access to my CPU/computer and my monitors as well so I can continue to work temporarily or at least get documents saved appropriately. That’s what this is used for. It’s a Band-Aid in case you lose power not necessarily a source to provide consistent power so I highly recommend this unit if you have a small office with laptop or desktop PC in a couple monitors it works wonderful Highly recommended

I never had a problem with an APC product but this one was difficult. Ever couple of days it would start flashing red and green when I started my system. I would have to turn it off and back on to get it to stop. Soon after every couple of days became every day so I had no choice but to replace it.

Only had these (bought two) for 24 hours, so I can't comment on longevity or performance. I can only say at this point that they appear to be well-made, and are acting as they should. I've tested them with electrical appliances, and they do what they're supposed to. I had one issue, and contacted Customer Tech Support, Jeremy from the Philippines was easy to understand and very helpful. One of my units acted perfectly, steady green light under AC power. But the other one was green for two seconds, then two flashes etc etc. The guide says that means the unit is supplying battery power to the outlets, the way it would act if the power went out. Yet it was plugged into an outlet. First thing Jeremy suggested was try another outlet. Duh...the ground fault on the original outlet was tripped, and the outlet was dead. As soon as I moved the unit and plugged it in, BINGO. Forehead slap. Now...as far as complaints about the battery being non-replaceable. There's a guy on YouTube who takes out the four assembly screws on the bottom, and removes a perfectly replaceable 12V, 4.5AH battery. Easily. Yes, you void the warranty, but after two years or so, I'm no longer going to worry about that. Shipping cost to return for service will cost more than the battery. So if this thing lasts a while, I don't see a problem. I paid $24.99 each for these. I think they're a steal at that price.

I was looking for a battery i could run some lights off of for 2-4 hours. This did not do what I was hoping. Good as a back up for 20-30 mins only. Returned because it wasn't what i was looking for. The customer service employee wasn't sure during the original purchase.

did not hold a charge first time the power went out. Returned this UPS and purchased a larger APC unit. Only supplying back up power to a modem, switch.

I can't tell you how many APC UPS' I've purchased in the last 20 years but enough to be shocked after unboxing this "UPS" to find it has no mechanism whatsoever to shutdown a PC gracefully. This product at Best Buy's sits right next to a slightly larger model, the 650 yet the manufacturer gives no indication that one protects computers while this model must not be intended to. Although this will do the trick if the power goes out only briefly, it really serves no purpose for a longer power outage. I see no use case for this device. It's basically just a surge protector and should be marketed as such. I do not recommend purchasing this model.

pros: cheap cons: cheap meaning another lame UPS with absolutely no connectivity from APC, a brand I had sworn to stay away from due to their terrible reliability. why don't I ever listen to my own advice???

I liked the small form factor, perfect for electronics like TV and DVD players, which is what I'm using it for. Still, I don't like that there doesn't seem to be a way to replace the battery, unlike the larger APC models.
