This was a great movie at the theater back in the 90's, and still is today. Much better movie than the recent First Man starring Ryan Gosling. That movie had a bad director and it's overall presentation was just horrendous. I wasn't the only one leaving the theater saying, "That's how the movie is ending?" Anyway back to Apollo 13. The video transfer is pretty good, not much with any HDR but as a plus I don't think I recall seeing much if any film grain from the 35mm transfer. As for the audio, it was pretty good but was excepting much more.

Great movie from top to bottom. The picture quality from this 4k Bluray is noticeably better than the Bluray counterparts. Highly recommended.

I grew-up in the "Space Age" of the 60's and 70's. I'm a bit biased because I love anything Apollo or Moon Race related. Every aspect of this movie was well researched and presented as well as a lot of love put in to it. I was lucky enough to go to a presentation by Fred Haise and afterward there was some Q&A. He commented that one of the only things different about the movie is that there was not that much "Drama". They were pretty calm, cool and collected. They were too busy working things out to have time to be worried or scared.

and now its even better. Don't think, just buy! The quality is out of this world, makes you feel like you're actually stuck in space with them.

Both the picture and sound are outstanding! An excellent upgrade from Blu-ray!

Tom Hanks in 4k is beautful af. You think youve seen him in all his glory, then you see this.

this movie has never looked this good, the level of detail that can be seen in this 4K version (especially the space shots) is amazing!

Probably the 3rd version I have purchased now of this movie. The 4K version is the best yet. Must have if a fan of this movie and have a 4K HDR TV.

The video is excellent and the sound does not have an atmos mix but it is still good

Excellently told story of the true account of a potential NASA disaster that turned out to be their finest hour...looks awesome in 4K, too...

With 4k, the visual quality of the movie is far superior to any preceding generation of technology. Enjoy this movie for its realism

A movie of a real life happening, even knowing the out come, you are still glued to the end.

The best quality version of my favorite Ron Howard movie. I already had multiple versions of this film but it's worth the upgrade!

NASA must devise a strategy to return Apollo 13 to Earth safely after the spacecraft undergoes massive internal damage putting the lives of the three astronauts on board in jeopardy. The acting is great and the story ... well what can you say about a true story?! Great movie

Brilliant classic remastered in 4K! Totally enjoyable and much more immersive than the standard SD version.

Ron Howard's best movie is just as suspenseful now as when it was first released.

I first watched this movie on the big screen when I was like 8 or so and it still hasn't lost its majesty. Such a well structured movie that it flies by despite being a 2+ hour movie. Chronicling a disaster in space accurately, factually with gravitas set in, great acting by all the lead actors (Harris in particular) and surprisingly good guess acting by the director Ron Howard's brother! A moving soundtrack accompanying makes this a must-see inspiring film of the human condition coping with enormous odds against its survival.
