Good movie to watch when you’re in a mood for something like this

Excellent movie from director Ron Howard. Very exciting look at history.

A very good reboot to 4K! First movie I purchased with my new player

You know the outcome ahead of time and it still pulls you in.

This is the best it's ever looked and the remixed sound is incredible!

Had to remind myself what Apollo 13 was all about. Tom Hanks we remembered, but really forgot about the outstanding supporting cast that consisted of Kevin Bacon, Bill Paxton, Ed Harris, and Gary Sinise. I am not sure but this may have been the movie that was a breakout for Gary Sinise. This movie seems a bit outdated with the current crop of space movies, such at Star Trek, Star Wars, and the Martian. But, it had really fine actors that were beginning their acting careers or were early in their careers. We take them for granted now but even Tom Hanks had not yet reached his superstar status at this point. Also, it was one of Ron Howards, really outstanding movies in his early years as a director.

Nice to have this movie on 4K Ultra HD after watched so many times.

T.v. and Ultra 4 k player are the best purchase I've made.

I understand that this movie is from the 90s, but the DTS:X track left me a little underwhelmed. Fantastic picture though, even on a 1080p TV (I don't have a 4k TV yet)

I remember this near tragedy in the Appolo program and cheered when all 3 astronauts returned safely. The movie, in my option, accurately shows the events as they occurred. Even knowing the events that happened, I still felt thrilled, and exhilarated watching it. Also, pride in the success of America's ability to bring those astronauts home in a very tough situation.
