This is a movie I have always enjoyed and especially good in 4K!

One of Ron Howard's best movies. Gorgeous in 4k. Love it.

This film was well received upon initial release and highly regarded for the at the time state of the art production and special effects. It had Blu-ray releases which I did not have a chance to see, but I'm confident the UHD copy has to be the best the film has looked since its release on video. It's a very good film in and of itself, and having impeccable sound and picture only enhances the impact of the drama onscreen.

A classic story of a historic event. Well done in every way.

Great 4K transfer given the movie's age. The DTS:X immersive sound track is demonstration quality.

What a tremendous movie this is! It's amazing how tense and exciting this film is, even though most folks know how it all turns out. And some of us folks actually remember seeing the actual story unfold on TV, back in the day. Great directing by Ron Howard. Great acting all around. Great true story. Happy to have this one on Blu-ray and 4 k.

Whatever home video format "Apollo 13" came out on, it was always the yardstick by which to test the medium's audio and video presentation. Ron Howard and company paid extra special attention to detail in making this film, and every time it gets released on the latest home video format, that effort gets shown more. As someone who owns a 4K projector (Optoma UHD51a) with a Denom 7.1 Dolby Atmos receiver and in-wall speakers, Apollo 13 blew me out into space (haha) and truly delivered the goods. The film was shot on film, making a 4K scan of the original negative an obvious choice, and the HDR highlights the black vacuum of space, not to mention the colors of the Earth, the moon, and the authentic look of the costumes and sets. If you're like me and you bought "Apollo 13" on VHS, DVD, and Blu-ray, go pick up your copy of the 4K release of this classic because you won't be disappointed!

Good story about the failed Apollo 13 mission and the hard work and dedication of all those involved in bringing the astronauts safely back home.

If you're considering buying this you must've already seen the movie which is very good. The new 4K video transfer is great. Don't expect it to be very shiny and smooth. There is a fine layer of grain and the image is very filmic. One of Tom Hanks best deserves to be in your library.

Terrific movie filled with action. Very historical rendition of what took place back in the time where going to the moon was considered routine.

One of my all time favorite films made even better by 4K UHD presentation!

Have watched this movie several times and had to gwet my own 4K Ultra HD edition. Have recommended this movie version to our friends.

space movies are the best and this one is the best out there telling the story of the greats that risked their lives to explore space

what can i say, great cast, great story, not sure if the 4K was necessary compared to just Blu Ray, since its an older movie.

I remember my parents dragging me to the theater to see this and me not waiting to go. But be captivating by the story of survival.

nice to see this movie again this time in 4k...you feel like you are in the command module of apolllo 13 wiht the crew...like watching a whole different movie from just blu-ray to 4k there is nothing like it. with Q-series 65" samsung and samsung 4k player..it will blow your socks off!!!!!!!!
