A very nice 4K presentation and dynamite sound, enhanced thoroughly by the DTS-X treatment, can’t make this a better film than it is. The story can’t be beat—the ill-fated yet heroic flight of the Apollo 13 mission—but the script could use some de-sentimentalization, and the music never lets up on demanding us to think and feel exactly what the film wants us to think and feel. In other words, it’s a glitzy ‘90s Hollywood drama. Your mileage may differ, obviously, and that’s your right. For my money, though, THE RIGHT STUFF is a better choice if you’re looking for just one historical film about space flight. Still, the sound is great and the performances solid. (The same Oscar-winning production sound team from THE RIGHT STUFF got the same award from the Academy for this one, so your ears are in excellent hands.)

This movie is good and its quality and colors are vibrant and so are the actors who portray the real life people. great fun

i have owned apollo 13 on many different formats, but this 4K version is the best of all as far as video and audio. one of my all time favorite movies and worth the purchase.

I already have the 15th Anniversary Edition of Apollo 13 and was very happy with that release. 5 years later, Universal Studios treats us with an even better version of this awesome movie. The 20th Anniversary Edition gives us a far more superior 4K transfer for perfect picture quality, a DTS-Master Audio track, and an additional bonus featurette called "Apollo 13: 20 Years Later" If you still have the old version of this film, or don't have this film in your collection at all, this 20th Anniversary Edition version is the perfect one to get.

I wanted a good movie with great pictures to watch on my A80J I thought this one would be perfect and it is.

I really enjoy watching a full 4k movie (content, player, display) and can’t wait to hear the Dolby’s Atmos on my soon to be HT room 7.2.4 THX Ultra2 sound system.

Tom Hans acting.... one of the best. He’s the reason why I keep watching movies. The story is pretty good and the rest of the actors uff superb.

Apollo 13 is a classical great true story movie worth having in 4k.

The 4K captures the details of what happened up in that capsule and the tensions, and pressures, and absolute brilliance of the the event.

Wonderful story! Matches to actual events rather well. Mild Hollywood liberties taken with the events. 4K transfer shows the movie in new was.

This new version does pop out some brighter colors and better sound then the blue ray did. The story is wonderful so get some time and enjoy a drama about our past.

I love this movie because the story is true. I first saw this movie as a kid and it helped inspire me to become an engineer. Watching this movie in 4K for the first time was great. I noticed details in the background I hadn’t noticed before. In fact, the resolution is so good, one can actually tell this movie was shot on film. The grainyness (noise) of film is present but it’s really mild and I probably only noticed it because I’ve been spoiled by new high definition content.

great movie about an event that wasn't widely known until this movie came out. great acting and good stuff about NASA team that brought them home safe.

This is a terrific movie that I have watched several time, I specifically purchased this 4K version of the movie to show off our new auto video equipment

This is a great movie, the 4K version is quite good. There is lots of film grain, so if you like that, great. If not, beware.

it's one of those movies that I would always stop what I was doing and watch when I came upon it. Brilliant stuff!

Great 90's fun with a great cast and stellar Video and audio. This is the definitive version of Apollo 13 to own on. You will not be disappointed.
