Memories of yesterday

Tom Hanks we remembered, but really forgot about the outstanding supporting cast that consisted of Kevin Bacon, Bill Paxton, Ed Harris, and Gary Sinise. I am not sure but this may have been the movie that was a breakout for Gary Sinise. This movie seems a bit outdated with the current crop of space movies, such at Star Trek, Star Wars, and the Martian. But, it had really fine actors that were beginning their acting careers or were early in their careers. We take them for granted now but even Tom Hanks had not yet reached his superstar status at this point. Also, it was one of Ron Howards, really outstanding movies in his early years as a director.

GOOD, BUT NOT GREAT SOUND

The movie, in my option, accurately shows the events as they occurred. Even knowing the events that happened, I still felt thrilled, and exhilarated watching it. Also, pride in the success of America's ability to bring those astronauts home in a very tough situation.
