    This is a shorter charging cord that I purchased to use in the car. It is about 17 inches long. I charge my iPhone 6s Plus.

    Works. Name of item is goofy. I bought wrong cord the first time. Actually the best buy rep have me wrong one. Apple needs better naming convention. Lightning is the name of the cord? Just not intuitive naming causing me to have to return first wire and locate this one. Cord charges old iPad as expected. It's short wire though but as advertised.
