Seems that only the original Apple iPad chargers work consistently with the hardware. Speedy, reliable and I like the fact that I can swap out the plug when traveling to Asia where the larger three prong plugs are in vogue.

I use this adapter for all electronic products and am very pleased with the reduced charging times that come from the higher wattage. It's also a plus that the prongs fold in and stay out of the way when tossed in a bag.

I bought this to have a second charger for my iPod Classic 160 Gig. It did not charge the unit. So, I had bought a second one for my iPod Touch 6 at work. It worked on the iPod Touch 6 but not on the iPod Classic. Then I tried the first unit on the iPod Touch 6 and it worked. I tried three separate cords on this unit with my iPod Classic (30 pin cables) and also tired it on a iPod 5th Generation. Still did not work. Not a bad product, just not able to use it for what I intended and there was no mention that it would not work on the older iPods. I would recommend for the iPod Touch 6 as I know it works there and does a great job or recharging when needed.
