This is the power adapter you need for an IPad, not the smaller wattage one. This charges the IPad and IPhone alot faster than the 5w adapter. Worth the money.

My old adapter for my iPad 3 just quit working after getting slower and slower. I was using my iPhone charger to charge the iPad but it would take 12 hours or longer! This new one is 12 w instead of 10 (the old iPad adapter) and charges the battery completely in 3-4 hours. I am glad I got a genuine Apple replacement-I read some negative reviews of off brand adapters-even though it was more expensive.

I got this to replace the regular iPhone 6 charger, it charges up my iPhone6 very fast. I would recommend this over the regular charger the phone comes with.

The wife blames me, BUT somehow her new iPad Mini found itself plugged into a standard 5W Apple charger. Yes, it will charge it, but very, very slowly! I highly recommend this Apple 12W charger for all your latest Apple iPhones and iPads. I recently bought a second quick charging unit for my iPad and iPhone. Since I use them both so much away from home I keep both devices charging whenever I'm at home. Having the second one makes it so much easier than discovering one device is running out of power and realizing "someone" moved my charger to her vehicle.

This thing is completely amazing. My iPad has always taken around an hour to change, and when using it for presentations the stock charger has never done much more than stop the power drain - it won't charge the iPad while it's being used connected to a network and broadcasting to an external source while demonstrating our software, or charges so slowly that it's barely noticeable. This charger is the complete opposite. I haven't timed how long it takes to get a complete charge, but plugging in a near-empty iPad before shaving, showering, and getting dressed in the morning has it at 100%. The first time I used this in an afternoon presentation after going down to 20% power i the morning (not connected to a charger), I noticed at the end of the day that the iPad was at 100% charge - and I had been using it for about 4 hours straight. The charger isn't cheap - but if you have a mission-critical device that must stay charged, this is what you want.

12W stronger charger for daughters school ipad. The old charger was too week to keep charging while in use. This one is much better.

I lost my original adapter and tried to use the smaller ones to charge my ipad. I would much rather have the bigger one. It seems to charge faster.
