I purchased this 12W adapter because the one that came with my iPad quit working. This was an exact match for the one I replaced but seems to work better because it charges the iPad faster and more reliably. It was more expensive than similar items but I went with the Apple brand thinking it would work better. It does so I'm glad I spent the extra money to purchase this adapter.
