Wattage makes a difference on phone charging speed. This has the watts to speed up charging without harming your phone.

For the first time in 3yrs my iPad was heating up which was unusual and then stopped charging. Called Apple customer support and no help. Went to Best Buy explained the problem and they cleaned out port, tried to see if it would take a charge only to determine that the faulty part was the adapter. Works great and no more over heating.

This is a must if you own a new iPhone. It charges faster with the usb-c connection. I bought 3 of them & im very happy with my purchase.

Worked exactly as advertised. I had an Apple Watch Series 7 that was struggling to charge at times with the old power puck from my Series 3 so I bit the bullet and bought this usb-c adapter (since only the cable is included with the purchase of the watch) to which now I do not have any issues with my watch charging. You can buy third party adapters, but it`s always nice to have the peace of mind that I paid the extra $5 so that I don`t have to worry about my device over charging or being ruined from a third party adapter.
