Apple no longer provides a charging block adapter with the purchase of new watches. In order to take advantage of the fast charging feature of the new Apple Watch 7, a series of charging blocks may be purchased, one of which is the 20W adapter. The block is nothing special and is simple enough to connect to the Apple provided magnetic charging cable. The 20W adapter does provide fast charging, which is impressive. Otherwise, it's a reliable and relatively muted design from Apple.

20W adapter is the fasted charging option, especially with newer devices. Learned this after the latest iOS update where you get the "slow Charge" message with older adapters. If speed matters, this is the adapter you need.

I’ve been using the Apple 20W USB-C fast charger for a few weeks, and it’s a game changer! It charges my iPhone from 0 to 50% in about 30 minutes, which is super convenient. The build quality feels solid, and it’s small enough to carry around. I wish it came with the cable included, but overall, it’s worth the price for the speed and reliability. Highly recommend!

With the new iPhone 12 the old charging cord will work but I wanted the new USB-C 20 watt charger to lessen the time to charge. I still use both but it works just as well as the older lightning cord -- I have not used the magnetic charger yet but some autos have it built in. I see no disadvantage to using this new charger other than the extra cost of buying the USB-C unit. For some users that may be a deterrent but when speed in bringing the phone back up to a full charge is important this is the way to go.

Charges pretty fast! I used anker nano for a while and it was getting my phone really hot! But this product is way better.

I personally really like these official Apple chargers. A cord isn't included, but you can use the one that came with your phone as long as it's USB-C. Since "C" is pretty universal by now, this will also charge things like tablets and headphones even if they aren't Apple products.
